Publisher's Review
This is the second book in the series, ‘Writing with all my heart, my own handwriting book,’ ‘Short Writings on Happiness.’
One day, this thought suddenly occurred to me.
“Am I happy now?” It was a time when I was letting days pass by without any good or bad feelings.
Even though I was doing what I wanted to do, I didn't feel 100% satisfied and I kept feeling like I was being chased by something.
When I first started, I thought, 'I'll do what I like at my own pace,' but as I hit the wall of reality, I kept getting impatient and didn't have time to look back and see if I was doing well.
So, to the question, “Am I happy now?”, the answer “I am happy” didn’t come easily.
Then, as if by fate, I came across this sentence.
“Happiness exists only when I choose to accept it.” _George Orwell
As we go through life, it's important to earn a lot of money, to rise to a high position, and to maintain good relationships with people, but as humans, we always end up shouting, 'A little more, a little higher, a little wider.'
Because there is no end to greed.
But in the end, the most important thing to be truly happy was 'me'.
Even if I have everything in the world, if my heart is uneasy, I am unhappy.
Happiness depends on my own determination, not on any result.
After that, I started taking care of my mind by finding sentences related to happiness and copying them into a notebook.
As a result, I ended up reflecting on what I value and when I feel complete joy.
After I set my own priorities, I found the strength to move forward happily again.
If you're feeling a little tired right now, why not take a moment to relax and focus on yourself? Think about what's most important to you, and what you consider a happy life.
This book will be of great help to you as you take the time to organize your thoughts.
This book is composed of 'sentences about happiness' left by people who lived before us.
Knowing the power of writing, I wanted to fill my heart with positive energy by writing down each sentence, rather than just reading and leaving it at that.
Drawing a picture of our future that will shine even brighter.
Also, each person's definition of happiness may be different, but I basically thought that the first condition for happiness is to create 'the me I want to become'.
So, after I finished writing down sentences about happiness, I also prepared pages at the back of the book where I could write down where I want to be in one year, three years, and five years, so that I could draw a specific picture of myself.
You could think of it as a simple bucket list.
I hope that by writing each and every sentence of 'My Own Handwritten Book, Short Essays on Happiness' by Mind's Eye, you will find your own true happiness and fill each day with joy and happiness.
