Description
Book Introduction
Living a month camping in Europe!
'Europe Outside the Tent' is a paradise of untouched nature and the outdoors!
When you think of traveling in Europe, you often think of the typical cities, tourist attractions, and art galleries, but this book introduces a Europe with a simple, untouched, and unadorned look.
Step outside your tent and discover Europe, a true camping paradise where breathtakingly beautiful nature and the small chatter of travelers unfold.
When the vastness of nature overwhelms you, you can mercilessly turn back and surrender to the city's endless food and entertainment options. And when the crowds get too overwhelming, you can always head back to nature! We suggest a fun way to experience Europe through camping.
Aside from the extraordinary story of this couple who decided to get married after a camping trip to Europe, the book offers a captivating collection of photos that capture the intimate nature and people of Europe, a deeply moving narrative, and thoughtful information gathered for future travelers wherever they go! Whether you're planning a trip to Europe or not, this book is a worthy companion.

Into the book
“Wow, where am I? Is this even on Earth?”
I asked after seeing the amazing landscape picture floating on Jun's computer screen.
“Yes, it’s called the ‘Dolomites’ and it’s a place in Italy in the Alps.
“It’s really cool!”
For a while, both of them stare blankly at the sight without saying a word.
Then all of a sudden, I said,
“Let’s go there.”
“Huh, how are you going all of a sudden?”
“Just get married and go on a honeymoon.
(Me briefly looking at the calendar on my smartphone) “What time is the third Saturday in June?”
He answers absentmindedly.
"are you okay."
“Let’s get married that day.”

This is how we left.
Although the trip began and ended in Prague, the main text begins in Cesky Krumlov, the first camping site, and ends in Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic.
And on June 13, 2022, we set off on the same journey again.
So, at the time this book is published, we will be traveling to the same places as the book's content.

This is why camping is especially recommended in Europe.
Those who have experienced long-term travel in Europe, where there is no food culture, and eating bread or meat every day know that their stomach is not their own.
My belief is that even if you eat just one meal a day of pickled cabbage and soybean paste stew at a campsite where you can freely cook your own food, you will be filled with the "power of Korea" that will allow you to travel with strength and energy.

To use Austrian motorways, you must purchase a 'vinett' (time-based toll sticker).
‘I hope I can buy a vignette before I cross the border…’ That’s all I can think about.
Were you worried too much?
Surprisingly, I bought it easily at a gas station mart.
A 10-day pass (minimum unit) costs about 10 euros.
If you tell us the desired period, we will punch in the number that corresponds to that date.
It's really cheap, with 13,000 won (as of May 2022) giving you free travel on all Austrian highways for 10 days.
But I never once checked my passport during the entire trip to see if I had a vignette on.
I thought it would be right to buy it no matter what since the fines would be huge if I got caught without it, but I thought it would be a bit conflicting if I had to pass through this country for a short while.

At first, I only planned to stay for one day, but I liked this campsite so much that I extended my stay for three days.
A place where you can't help but feel that there will never be another place like this again.
The bathrooms, showers, and sinks are always kept clean like a hotel, with hot water always gushing out, and the Alps surrounding the place are something you never tire of looking at.
A space that constantly presents different scenery due to various reasons such as weather, cloud movement, and time of day.
And peace, quiet.
People's gentle greetings and smiles.
Moments of relaxed happiness that make you wonder if paradise is anything special.

The camping site I was at right before, Camping Temel, was such a heavenly place that I was slightly disappointed by the slightly gloomy appearance upon arrival.
As I was looking for the building to check in, I found a noisy pub that also served as the reception.
Unlike the angelic couple who owned the previous campsite, an aunt(?) who didn't seem to bleed even if you stabbed her was busy selling beer, and she greeted us, explained everything, copied our passports, and explained the location of the electricity at the site before quickly turning around and leaving.
We were loved so much by our grandmother, who had a kind personality and only loved us, but when she passed away, we were left to live with our aunt in the city, like two young siblings.
The more this happens, the more we hold hands tightly.
Still, I'm glad the price is good.
17.5 euros (24,000 won) per day, cheaper than grandma's(?).

Publisher's Review
Packed with essential and useful information about European camping, carefully collected!
The fun of discovering Europe's hidden gems and planting your own flag as your own special place!
A "European camping" trip can seem daunting! With this book, your confidence and self-assurance will soar.
It is not only full of general information about camping in Europe, but also contains a wealth of 'rare' information that has been carefully collected through various coincidences, luck, and accidents while on site.
Therefore, 《30 Days of European Camping》 is advertised as the ‘European Camping Bible’.
In fact, even if you prepare thoroughly, traveling is inevitably a series of coincidences and accidents.
In the end, you have no choice but to demonstrate your wit, flexibility, and problem-solving skills at each moment.
But if you have a big picture that outlines the outline, your adventure will be much easier.
This book aims to fulfill just that role, and the author hopes that many people will use it as a stepping stone to enjoy Europe's nature and gain their own unique experiences.
Sometimes, you can stray from your original plan and visit lesser-known but more familiar places recommended by locals. Among them, you can also enjoy the thrill of expanding your travel horizons by planting a flag of "my own" on places that particularly catch your eye.
Maybe that's when the 'real' journey begins.
As the author of this book said.
Why 'European Camping' among all the travel options?
You'll know it as soon as you step outside the tent!
Although the book introduces itself as 'a woman who is new to long-term camping & a man who is new to long-term overseas travel', the author of this book, Suji An, is actually a 'veteran' traveler with quite a bit of travel experience.
In addition to my frequent private trips, I have also been to many places through TV programs such as SBS's "Two Women Go: A Month-Long Camping Trip to the U.S.", "Morning Wide: Let's Go There.", "How to Eat Well and Live Well: Yang Hee-eun's Country Table.", and MBC's "Theme Travel Road."
Her confident travel suggestion is ‘European camping.’
A journey where you can witness and experience the grandeur of Europe's nature and the lives of its locals up close, encounter unexpected "scenes of life" recommended by passing travelers, and follow your heart and eyes wherever and whenever they lead! Amidst the interplay of anticipation and excitement, and sometimes fatigue and even accidents, each destination imbued with a unique atmosphere and ambiance, creating special memories. This couple, completely captivated by its charm, will embark on another camping trip on June 13, 2022, following the same route featured in the book, five years after their first.
Readers will be able to experience the live scene at any time through YouTube.
