Appendix: 318 Best Restaurants in the Country

What is Blue Ribbon Travel?
This is a travel guide series from [Blue Ribbon Survey], a guidebook to Korea's representative restaurants.
We would like to introduce representative and hidden travel destinations from all over the country, including Seoul.

Editor's Note

This book is the second revised edition of [841 Best-Selling Travel Destinations in Korea + 140 Best Restaurants Nationwide], first published in July 2012.
The first edition introduced major travel destinations across the country by categorizing them according to visitor rankings. However, starting with the first revised edition in 2018, the book introduces must-visit travel destinations selected by each city and province across the country, rather than categorizing them by ranking.
The number of travel destinations included was 841 in the first edition and 1,128 in the first revised edition, but this number increased significantly to 1,475 in the second revised edition.
The number of restaurants included in the appendix has also increased from 175 in the first revised edition to 318, providing more information.

There are a variety of travel books, including books that organize travel courses centered around highways and roads, and books that select travel destinations based on specific themes, but it was difficult to find a book that organized representative travel destinations by region at a glance.
Since everyone has different tastes and interests, rather than providing a travel itinerary, I thought it would be better to provide travel destination information by region so that readers can choose the place they like, which led me to write this book.

This book includes regional maps showing the travel destinations included, which can be useful when planning your travel itinerary.
At the back of the text, we have included a search by travel destination category, including nature, historic sites, and general facilities, so that you can easily find a travel destination by region that suits your travel purpose.
Additionally, we have carefully selected must-visit restaurants in Korea that meet the standards of the Blue Ribbon Survey and included them in the appendix by region.
I believe that it will also satisfy the culinary pleasures that cannot be missed during travel.

Despite the global gloomy situation that has befallen the travel industry, there is some solace in the fact that domestic travel infrastructure has become more developed.
As more people visit domestic travel destinations, infrastructure will expand further, and this could be an opportunity for our country to rise as a global tourism powerhouse.
