Book Introduction
First of all, congratulations on your acceptance to Busan Foreign Language High School! Middle school students reading this may be experiencing days filled with vague fears about high school.
Of course, it would be a lie to say that high school is all fun and no hardships.
But it is clear that there are small happinesses even in high school.
For example, there is the romance of studying during evening self-study time with the sound of crickets and birds chirping.
When I go out for a walk during my break and look at the stars in the night sky, all the stress of the day goes away.
So, I hope you all find a little more happiness in high school, and I'd like to offer a few words of encouragement.

First, I recommend finding your own stress relief method.
You need techniques to deal with high school stress.
Things that energize you, such as drawing, singing, or exercising, will be a strong support system when you feel heavy-hearted.

Second, you need to take care of your physical strength whenever you have time.
The college entrance exam is a battle of physical strength.
Even if you want to study more, you can't if your body can't handle it.
Also, there is nothing more frustrating than being sick and not being able to study during exam period.
So, I recommend that you regularly do light exercise like squats or yoga and get at least 6 hours of sleep.

Third, I hope you don't let your grades and what others say dictate your day.
It's true that when you look at your test scores and see where you stand among the students, you can't help but question your own worth.
However, keep in mind that test scores don't determine everything about you.
Remember the moments when you had to fight against sleepiness, the memories of resisting the urge to look at your phone and studying what needed to be done right away, the strength to get back up after being discouraged by your exam scores, all of these things can become the driving force in your life, and they can determine your life.
So, even if you feel like giving up sometimes, I hope you hold on to the things you hold dear and keep moving forward.

Lastly, don't be anxious.
There is no need to blame yourself or feel frustrated, thinking, 'Oh, why can't I do it?'
Rather, you deserve praise.
Don't worry and believe in yourself, because you have done well so far, you are doing well now, and you will do well in the future.
As you grow into adulthood, you will stumble and fail a lot.
But, whoever overcomes here becomes the winner.
We too have experienced many trials and errors in academics, interpersonal relationships, etc. until we reached the final stage of becoming adults.
But we overcame it and persevered until this moment.
Ultimately, it's all about believing in yourself and loving yourself with a 'can do' mindset.

You can do it and you can do it because you are you and no one else.
Wait a minute, look around.
There are strong people behind you who silently support you.
So don't be afraid, I'll be cheering you on from afar to be the first runner to cross the finish line at the end of this long race.
Finally, I end this article with a quote from Winnie the Pooh: “You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
