I am a jellyfish
Description
Book Introduction
The first person to open the door to Buyeo's history, which spanned over 900 years, extending beyond Manchuria and extending to the Korean Peninsula.
Author Yun Myeong-cheol (Professor Emeritus of Dongguk University and Professor of Samarkand University) is known as an authority on Goguryeo history.
From 1982 to the present, he has been continuously researching sites in Eurasia, including Japan, Manchuria, Primorsky Krai, Baikal, Altai, and Pamir.
In the midst of this, we have been tracing and researching for a long time how Hae Mosu, the successor of Gojoseon and the founder of Northern Buyeo, supported the founding of Goguryeo.
Through various literature and research, we were able to extract the mythical Haemosu from the historical background.
"I am a Jellyfish" is a popular book that anyone can easily read, rather than a rigid, specialized research book, and is the first domestic Jellyfish research book to be published, generating great interest.
Professor Yoon says, “Myths have both historical and narrative elements, and myths are created based on history and passed down in the form of narratives.”
The meaning and role of Haemosu, the founder of Northern Buyeo and the founding father of Goguryeo, is clearly stated in the introduction of this book.
It introduces historical materials that make it easy to understand Haemosu, reveals the true nature of its historical and social identity, and restores Haemosu's growth process and life step by step.
This Haemosu explains in detail how he achieved the unification and coexistence of the Buyeo-based powers, leading to the birth of the Goguryeo nation, and established himself as a typical ancient hero as a historical link connecting the succession of Buyeo and Joseon and the succession of Buyeo and Goguryeo.
It was a breath of fresh air for the Korean ancient history academia, which has been unable to properly respond to China's Northeast Project policy, and it was like laying the first stepping stone toward the original (ancient) Joseon Dynasty.
Haemosu says, “I am a Joseon person, a Buyeo person, and a Goguryeo person.”
