To properly understand the ever-changing course of Korea-Japan relations, it is necessary to first comprehensively understand how the Korea-Japan treaty system has evolved over the past 80 years.
We must not be confined to the details of the Korea-Japan talks or the text of the Korea-Japan Agreement, but must also accurately understand the history of how the two countries subsequently revised and supplemented the Korea-Japan Agreement.

This book is largely divided into two parts.
The first half describes the process by which Korea and Japan steadily developed their mutual relations while building new nations after liberation and defeat.
The second half contains various documents from the governments of both countries or the international community that support the technology of the first half.
If you refer to the materials in the latter half while reading the first half, you will be able to feel the dynamic evolution of the Korea-Japan agreement system.
Furthermore, we will be able to realize anew that the people and governments of both countries have made sincere efforts to revise and supplement the Korea-Japan agreement system whenever pending issues arise, and have achieved significant results.
