Description
Book Introduction
Among the various nursing tasks, a broad knowledge and understanding of medications is particularly important in patient care.
It is no exaggeration to say that nurses are the ones who administer drug therapy, which accounts for the majority of patient treatment, and are the first to recognize and experience the effectiveness and side effects of drugs, and even harmful effects, through patients.
For treatment or diagnosis, the entire process of drug therapy, including selecting the correct drug for the patient as prescribed, administering it via the prescribed route and dosage, and providing drug-related education to the patient, is the most crucial aspect of nursing work, and its importance cannot be overemphasized.
Fully aware of the importance of drug therapy in the clinical field, our co-translators, professors who are in charge of nursing education on the front lines, have worked together to translate a pharmacology textbook that is advantageous for acquiring efficient and essential knowledge in nursing education.

This book is by Linda E.
McCuistion, Kathleen Vuljoin DiMaggio, Mary B.
Winton, Jennifer J.
This book is a translation, revision, and supplementation of Yeager's 'PHARMACOLOGY', taking into account our nursing practice.
In the case of the original book, it was selected because it is recognized as an excellent textbook on pharmacology that focuses on nursing practice. In addition, since the previous edition's translation faithfully contained the contents of the original book in a large volume, it was compiled into a revised edition by reducing the volume to make it suitable for students' school classes.
We would like to make it clear through this page that we have carefully reviewed the text to ensure that no essential content has been omitted, and that we have carefully considered the matter to ensure a more satisfactory translation.
I would also like to emphasize that this is a translation that can be referenced and helpful to nurses working in clinical settings.
