When is the best time to start solid foods? The most definitive answer is "when your child wants it."
So how can you tell if your child wants it? The following may provide clues.

Don't keep trying to find the reason your child won't eat in the 'liver'.
It's not that I don't eat liver, it's just that I don't feel like eating for a while.
Seung-ah also had periods when she continued to swear at baby food.
