A revised edition of the legendary essay series by Haruki Murakami and Mizumaru Anzai has been published!

Haruki Murakami, who has received widespread love and support for works such as “Norwegian Wood” and “Kafka on the Shore,” once again created a sensation in Korea in 2009 with “1Q84.”
His main occupation is, of course, a novelist, but readers who have been reading his work for a long time will remember the series of essay collections with simple and witty illustrations by Anzai Mizumaru.
This essay, considered the most beloved series by Haruki Murakami fans, is presented in a new form.
This collection of works allows one to experience the simple and lovely sentiments of the 1980s and 1990s and the romance of city life, as well as a side of Haruki Murakami's life that is different from what is seen in his novels.


Anzai Mizumaru, an illustrator who has been active in various fields such as book design, advertising, and comics, is a long-time acquaintance of Haruki Murakami, who has known him since the time he was practicing writing at a jazz café before he debuted as a novelist and won the Gunzo New Writer's Award for "Hear the Wind Sing."
The character 'Watanabe Noboru', who appears frequently in short stories including 'Attack on the Bakery', is none other than his real name.
As they are such close friends, there is no need to mention the fantastic chemistry these two show in their respective works.
The 'Murakami Asahi' series, which is especially famous for its humorous and light-hearted essays and simple yet stylish illustrations, can be said to be the representative work of this duo.
