[Special Feature] Poetic Creation and World-Making ---------------------------------------------------------------------
The special feature, "Poetic Creation and World-Making," was designed with the awareness that we must further refine our will and practice to create a world different from the one we have seen so far, and this project aims to confirm this through the achievements of our poetry.
Song Jong-won focuses on the fact that the creativity of poetry is demonstrated above all in changing the perspective on the world and history, and examines the range of modern poetry from Osanha, Jin Ijeong, and Baek Musan to 『Yongdam Yusa』.
We examine the capacity of citizens to create the 'ripening of time' and the capacity of poetry to declare 'time' as if lighting a fire to time, and talk about how poetry and citizens have reflected each other.
Shin Yong-mok, who often forgets that we are the very beings of 'place', carefully reminds us that poetry allows us to sense place as the body of the mind and the body of history, especially through poems dealing with the region called 'TK'.
Choi Seon-gyo's writings boldly address the issue of "spirituality," which has been largely ignored, suspected of being degenerated into a means of escapism and commercial service. We read young poets who embody the liberating nature of spirituality in their journey of imagining the future and pursuing truth.

[Conversation] Is the Far Right Real? ----------------------------------------------------------------------
This issue's conversation, titled "Is there a reality to the far-right phenomenon?", was moderated by Lee Tae-ho, director of the Peace and Disarmament Center at People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy, and was joined by Kim Nae-hoon, Lee Seung-won, and Hwang Hee-doo, who are active in the fields of politics, current affairs, culture, and media.
From the definition of the "far right" to the reasons for its global spread, the unique characteristics of the youth far right, and appropriate response strategies, this article sheds light on the recent rise of the far right, a phenomenon that has raised many concerns, and seeks a balanced perspective on this situation.
Above all, let us remember that the key is to overcome this 'hardship' with the positive energy of solidarity toward a better world.

Opinion/Field --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the eighth installment of the serial project 'Searching for K-Discourse', we are publishing an article by Park Beom-sun discussing Jo Young-rae's human rights philosophy.
This article examines, through specific examples, how Cho Young-rae's human rights philosophy was shaped by his actions as an activist and human rights lawyer who changed the course of history.
From 『The Biography of Jeon Tae-il』, we take an interesting look at Korea's first class action lawsuit, the Mangwon-dong flood incident, the Bucheon Police Station sexual torture lawsuit, and the pneumoconiosis lawsuit that expanded the scope of human rights to environmental rights.
This proves that human rights ideas, often explained as an influx of Western ideas, were created and deepened within the history of this place.
Seo Jae-jeong's article seeks a structural and comprehensive understanding of the Trump administration 2.0, addressing the difficult question of how to respond to Trump's second term, which is often cited as the primary culprit in exacerbating the current global chaos.
We examine in detail the policies and driving forces of Trump 2.0 and analyze their implications for the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia.
On the scene, Han Chae-min tells the story of how she organized and carried out a counter-protest against the anti-Chinese protests in Daerim-dong, which cannot be taken lightly, and conveys the urgency of going beyond hatred and welcoming one another.


Creative Writing: Poetry and Novels ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In Shiran, new poems by twelve poets, including Kim Nu-yeon, Kim Sa-in, Kim Hyeon, Park So-ran, Park Yeon-jun, Son Wol-eon, Ahn Mi-ok, Oh Eun-kyung, Im Su-hyeon, Jeong Il-geun, Ham Min-bok, and Hong Mi-ja, shake our senses and lead us to face the world with a different perspective.
The novel section includes the second installment of Baek Su-rin's long-form serial, which garnered much anticipation from readers in the previous issue, as well as new short stories by Kim Se-hee, Lee Seon-jin, Lee Ju-hye, and Cheon Woon-young, which reveal previously unread aspects of life.
The unique world of the work shines.


Author Spotlight, Literary Criticism, Literary Focus------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the Writer Spotlight, critic Yang Kyung-eon meets with poet Jang Cheol-mun, who recently published "There Are No Restaurant Stalls," and examines several of his poems that transcend the gap between life and poetry with their characteristic simplicity.
The poet's attitude of being sparing with words and cherishing poetry makes us realize that he is in fact a 'person made of poetry'.

In her literary criticism, Seo Young-in reads novels that demonstrate that in this unprecedented hyper-connected society, where we are losing the sense of continuity and connection in life, connection is both a crisis and a danger, but also a matter of our collective dignity.
Song Hyun-ji examines the ethical tendencies prominent in recent poetry in light of the flattened stereotype of "the exhibition of righteousness," while also examining poetic attempts to renew and re-present ethics as a journey of enduring endless failure and trial.
In Literary Focus, Nam Seung-won and Kwon Young-bin select three notable new poetry collections and three novels for this season, providing meticulous and thoughtful guidance that delves into the inner workings of each.

Prose/Commentary --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the prose series 'Taking Care of My Life', actor Park Jung-min unexpectedly confesses his own 'history of shame', which was brutal, and multiplies the 'minus emotions' that tear the soul apart, turning them into resources to take care of life.
The review column also introduces 10 notable new books from various fields, and is filled with concise and meaningful articles that add their own thoughts.

The 40th Manhae Literary Award selected Kim Geum-hee's novel 『Report on Repairing the Great Greenhouse』 (main prize) and Yonsei University Kim Dae-jung Library's 『Memoirs of Kim Dae-jung's Upbringing』 (special prize) as the winners.
In addition, the 27th Baekseok Literary Award was awarded to Jang Seok-nam's poetry collection, "The Lie I Loved."
