Book Introduction
Against the backdrop of the flourishing phenomenon of art book fairs, 『GRAPHIC』 invited several book fair operators to share their opinions on the current state of book fairs and what their ultimate role should be, and published this issue.
Metaphorically speaking, this issue is a large-scale roundtable discussion on the role of book fairs, with over 30 art book fairs, ranging from established to emerging, varying in tradition, scale, background, and motivation.

Publisher's Review
The world's book fairs are currently undergoing a period of intense aesthetic differentiation.
Several new book fairs are offering formats that are distinctly different from traditional events, while also striving to achieve economies of scale. Their efforts to overcome mainstream conventions in terms of organization and operation, both ecologically and ethically, are also noteworthy. This issue of GRAPHIC presents a vivid account of the current state of art book fairs, presented from the field.
We hope that this issue, in which an unprecedented number of Book Fair insiders participated through interviews, discussions, tours, and contributions, will serve as a reference for continuing related discussions.
Also for those who are thinking of a new concept book fair.
