Publisher's Review
In the preface, publisher Lee Sang-ok said, “The early days of the Dicasi regional literary movement were centered around the Daum Cafe “Dicasi Mania,” a Dicasi community established in 2004, and the Dicasi magazine “Dicasi Poetry Mania,” both online and offline.
The magazine "Dika Poetry Mania" is a one-man magazine of which I am the publisher and editor. It was released from the Munhakjeon Hall on June 1, 2006, and has now evolved into the 54th issue of the quarterly "Dika Poetry" with Choi Gwang-im as editor-in-chief.
Since 2008, the Gyeongnam Goseong Dicasi Festival has been held annually, and as the Dicasi movement gained momentum, a more systematic movement entity was needed, so the Dicasi Cultural Content Research Association was launched in 2010.
This research group was reorganized into the Goseong Cultural Center's Dicasis Research Institute in 2014 and then expanded into the Korea Dicasis Research Institute in 2018, leading to its current status.
The Korea Dica Research Institute celebrated its 15th anniversary, marking the establishment of its predecessor, the Dica Culture Content Research Association.
Currently, the Dikasi literary movement is being led by the Korea Dikasi Poets Association and the Korea Dikasi Research Institute.
To celebrate its 15th anniversary, the Korea Dicasi Research Institute will also open the Juksa Gallery at the Juksajeong (a cultural space in the style of an old house that honors the academic virtues of Juksa Seonsa) in Jangsan Forest, which features a sign marking the origin of Dicasi, on June 14, 2025, the opening day of the 18th Gyeongnam Goseong International Dicasi Festival.
The Korea Dikasi Research Institute promises to return to its original intention of establishing the Dikasi Cultural Content Research Association and develop into an international research institute that goes beyond Korea,” he said.
