Into the book
Until 1952, I was constantly plagued by illness.
For example, I got jaundice three or four times in a year.
My liver was enlarged, I had kidney stones, spleen problems, hyperacidity and hypoacidity, and even stomach ulcers…
To make matters worse, I've been suffering from migraines for almost 10 years.
It all culminated in my second heart attack in 1952.
After my second heart attack, I was told by doctors that I didn't have long to live.
He told me not to take a single step unless absolutely necessary, because I didn't know when I would die.
I was so afraid of death, but I told myself:
"Lester, you're still breathing! You still have a chance."
So I sat down and started thinking 'for 24 hours straight'.
I had lived for about 42 years, but I had not been able to find happiness and had even lost my health, and I had reached the end of my life.
I realized that all the knowledge I thought I knew was useless.
I am in my 30s and I am a Watson J.
He studied B. Watson's behaviorism, Freudian psychology in his late 30s and early 40s, as well as philosophy, logic, and economics.
I studied mainly human studies, and with all that knowledge, I was at the end of my life.
This situation made me realize that such worldly knowledge about people is truly useless.
So I decided to start completely over from scratch.
'Let us forget all knowledge.
Let's start from zero again.' And then we decided to see what we could catch.
So I asked the question.
“What am I?”, “What is this world?”, “What is my relationship to the world?”, “What is the mind?”, “What is intelligence?”, “What is happiness?” I began to ask myself questions.
“What do I want in life?”
The answer was happiness.
After doing a little more research, I remembered the moment when I was happiest.
It was then that I discovered something that was truly amazing to me.
It was precisely when I was in love that I was happiest.
And that happiness was not proportional to the time I was loved, but to how much I loved the other person.
It was truly an amazing discovery.
---From "What is Happiness?"
I met Lester at a seminar I organized.
At the seminar, which featured renowned speakers, Lester appeared as a guest of one of the speakers.
Lester's presence struck me with something special, and it happened right at the lunch we had together.
He seemed to be in a constant state of peace, and it made me feel very comfortable to be with him, to act with such equanimity.
He was not a pushy person, easy to talk to, and treated everyone there, including me, who was meeting him for the first time, as if he were a friend.
I could clearly see it.
He is the one who knows the answer to the question I was searching for, and he is the one who has completed the journey of seeking.
I thought I should find out more about him.
When I asked Lester what he was up to, he invited me to his seminar the following weekend.
That's all he told me.
“A group of people will sit around a table and do a ‘release.’”
I wasn't sure what that meant, but I knew that if such an encounter gave me any assurance that Lester was a living embodiment of himself, then that would be exactly what I wanted.
With such strong confidence, I signed the seminar participation form right there and then.
---From "What is Happiness?"
Lester strongly believed that the key to achieving greater success in enlightenment was the ability to readily let go and the function of accomplishing it.
He was very firm on this point.
For the last twenty years of his life, he devoted himself to teaching just this one thing, developing and fostering the practice we now call the Sedona Method.
If you want to get the most out of this book, I strongly recommend that you learn the Sedona Method, and read and practice Lester's other materials.
Even if you can't get to that point, I strongly encourage you to try some form of 'letting go' to address whatever these materials might bring to your consciousness.
When you allow yourself to let go, you will get the best out of it.
1.
Deciding or choosing to let go of anything we are holding onto in this present moment.
2.
Allowing whatever state this moment is, welcoming it completely without need for correction, change, or repair, and letting it go like a cloud passing by in the sky.
3.
Letting go by digging into the core of the feeling, whatever it is.
When we delve into the core of a feeling, we find it empty—or full of good things.
What is there is not darkness as we usually assume.
---From "How to Get the Most Out of This Book"
Levenson observed his own thoughts and feelings, and his own responses to them, and discovered that truth moves within their relationships.
And as we understand their complete interconnectedness, we discover that they are not ourselves.
He forces himself to look at himself as he is given a terminal diagnosis.
His obsession with death drove him to the brink and he ended it all within three months.
Of course, his body became completely healthy as the questions that had plagued him throughout his life, “What am I?” and “What is happiness?”, were completely resolved.
Isn't this a question and a homework for all of us? Thankfully, he solved it all in three months.
Now all we have to do is eat it.
Then we too will be cured.
Complete resolution of body and mind.
Lester's final question is, "What truly makes me happy?" I hope you ask yourself this question earnestly and take the step yourself.
He gained enlightenment through this.
It's all about 'letting go'.
Letting go of thoughts will lead you to enlightenment, and when you achieve complete letting go and non-attachment, you too, the reader, will become the creator of the 'Secret' and possess the 'Law of Abundance'.

Publisher's Review
A seven-week mindful journey guided by Lester Levenson, founder of the Sedona Method.
In 1952, 42-year-old Lester Levenson was a successful businessman and physicist, at the pinnacle of what the world called success.
But he was not very happy and his health was very poor.
After his second heart surgery, the doctors discharged him, saying there was nothing more they could do.
Back home, Lester decided not to give up and to go inside himself to find the answer.
Who am I, what is the purpose of my life, what are the problems and how do I find solutions, where does ultimate happiness lie…
After three months of intense inner exploration, asking these questions, he discovered answers that penetrated his body, mind, and soul.
It was a 'releasing technique' that let go of all internal limitations.
Armed with the ultimate tool for enlightenment, he regained complete health and profound inner peace after three months.
After that, Lester Levenson settled in Sedona, Arizona, built a meditation center, and began teaching people his enlightenment method and meditation techniques.
That is the 'Sedona Method'.
“The world is the result of my mind.
“Thought determines matter.”
Lester Levenson's wise teachings and enlightening mantras will calm your mind just by reading them!
The Sedona Method has since spread around the world, changing the lives of countless people and becoming the source of The Secret.
