Uncle Woody and Aunt Lani, who live in Hawaii, came to our house.
After hearing about our world travel plans, we brought Hawaiian clothing.
In Hawaii, when taking a picture, everyone shouts “Shaka!”
They did a hand gesture called 'shaka'.
Shakaran is a greeting that tells people to forget their worries and have a leisurely day.
We learned hula from our aunt and greeted each other with the shaka.

The towns featured in this book are real towns where the author lived in Portland, and the friends from around the world are real friends the author met in various countries around the world.
Through these friends, the author experienced various world cultures, and a new seed of story sprouted in his heart.
It was a story about a lovely child who prepares a special neighborhood world tour for his grandfather who cannot go on his favorite trip due to poor health.
"One, Two, Three, Click! Kimchi, Cheese, Kafka" is a picture book that introduces diverse cultures from around the world at a level suitable for young children, based on the story of a child who meets and takes pictures with friends from around the world who live in the neighborhood with his grandfather. This is how it began.
