〈Oh! Cabbage〉 was created with the hope that many children would become interested in cabbage and kimchi and enjoy eating them through the story of cabbage, an ingredient, and kimchi, a traditional Korean food.
Author Yoo Ha wanted to tell the story of how cabbage becomes kimchi in an interesting way.
Then, I started thinking, "What if the place that transforms cabbage into kimchi was a hair and makeup shop that also does people's makeup? Who would be transforming the cabbage?" And I wrote the story based on those thoughts.
Artist Kim I-jo, who drew the pictures, enriched the story with his unique, cheerful and individualistic drawings.
The rubber gloves trio working at the kimchi shop were each created as unique characters with their own unique personalities.
