With the enactment of the Nursing Act, nurses' duties are now governed by law.

On June 4, 2025, the Enforcement Decree of the Nursing Act was announced, and nurses' duties were legally defined as "medical support duties."
This is an institutional turning point where nurses can demonstrate their expertise as members of the medical team, rather than simply as assistants.

But the scene is still chaotic.
Work standards are not clearly defined, and there is no systematic training material for clinical support work.
In particular, the ambiguous distinction between the scope of work of dedicated nurses, specialist nurses, and general nurses is increasing anxiety and burden among practitioners.

In this situation, the 『Medical Support Work Manual vol. 1, 2』 was published in line with the enforcement of the Nursing Act.
This book is the first systematic practical guide that outlines the tasks nurses can actually perform, based on the 10 areas and 98 items of the Ministry of Health and Welfare's clinical support pilot project.

The 『Medical Support Work Manual』 was written by 18 nurses with more than 10 years of clinical experience and a master's degree or higher, and received advice from medical professionals from 13 university hospitals to ensure reliability and effectiveness.

The two-volume 『Medical Support Work Manual』 concisely organizes actual field cases, standard procedures, and precautions in each chapter into a 〈3-step technical flow chart〉, maximizing practicality so that even nurses receiving medical support training for the first time can immediately utilize it.

Vol. 1 focuses on the fundamentals of clinical support, including patient identification and status reporting, various tests and treatment of critically ill patients, and assistance with surgery and anesthesia. Vol. 2 covers more advanced high-risk treatment and patient monitoring tasks, including dressings and insertions, central venous catheter management, adverse event reporting, and patient education.
