After the painting brought back those days, I slowly began to get closer to summer again.

From then on, I could escape to those memories even on a stuffy subway ride or sitting in a suffocating office.
I spent the many days of the scorching summer more easily, eating the corners of the memories that the painting brought back.

Upon his return to England, Steer's favourite subject was a summer daytime scene on the beach at Wilberswick in Suffolk.
