[Our Blues] Author's Edition Uncut Script Book Released!

[Our Blues], a hit work by writer Noh Hee-kyung, which was released after 4 years with the passionate message of encouragement, “May all of us who are alive be happy!”, is being published as an unedited script book.

From writer Noh Hee-kyung's work to a super luxurious cast.
[Our Blues] is a drama that created a lot of buzz even before it aired.
Since its first broadcast on April 9th, viewers have been cheering for this drama, saying, "As expected from Noh Hee-kyung!" and "The birth of another masterpiece!"

[Our Blues] presents a rich story with 14 main characters in a unique 'omnibus' drama format that has never been attempted before, not only in Korea but anywhere in the world.
Dong-seok (Lee Byung-hun) and Seon-ah (Shin Min-a), Han-soo (Cha Seung-won) and Eun-hee (Lee Jung-eun), Yeong-ok (Han Ji-min) and Jeong-jun (Kim Woo-bin), In-kwon (Park Ji-hwan) and Ho-sik (Choi Young-jun), Yeong-ju (Noh Yoon-seo) and Hyeon (Bae Hyun-sung), and Chun-hee (Go Doo-shim) and Ok-dong (Kim Hye-ja).
The message that everyone is the protagonist of their own life and that everyone's life should be noble and happy runs through the show from the first episode to the 20th episode, once again proving Noh Hee-kyung's amazing writing skills.

Set in Purung Village, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do, [Our Blues] is a story about the sweet and salty lives of ordinary neighbors who were born and raised there, selling fish, goods, peddling with a truck, and selling food at the market. It is a story about our lives, and it is therefore all the more captivating and heartwarming.

“No one says anything, that’s why there’s only one house like that every three or four, it’s nothing special,” says Hyeja Samchun (played by Park Ji-ah), or “This is how people live.
That's why Jeong-jun's line, "It's not about whether it was good or bad," pierces the heart more powerfully than any other platitude and gives a warm feeling of emotion.

Publisher's Review
Set against the backdrop of the cold and rough sea of Jeju
The sweet, bitter and bitter life stories of 14 poets!

Han-soo, a goose father who tries to borrow money from his classmate Eun-hee to help his daughter, who dreams of becoming a golfer, study abroad; Eun-hee, who worked hard her whole life selling fish for 20 hours a day but was deeply hurt by her first love and best friend; In-kwon and Ho-sik, who went from being best friends in their youth to enemies; Young-joo and Hyeon, a high school couple who grew up under their guidance like Romeo and Juliet but ended up pregnant before marriage; Seon-ah, who suffered from depression after losing custody of her child after divorce and came to Jeju; and Dong-seok, a merchant who has been watching Seon-ah for decades without changing; and Young-ok, who is about to give up her love for her disabled older sister, and captain Jeong-jun, who holds her hand tightly…

Through the life stories of these people, none of whom are easy, writer Noh Hee-kyung warmly embraces the hearts of countless viewers and leaves them with a heartbreaking resonance, shouting, “Don’t fall, it’s not over, you’re alive...” So, “Let’s all be happy who are alive!”

Our lives are as common and ordinary as the wildflowers blooming on the roadside, but just as even the smallest wildflower is the only protagonist in its own life, each and every one of us is the protagonist of our own lives.
So, this drama encourages us to be happy just by being alive! "Our Blues" is a story of nameless wildflowers coming together to create a breathtakingly beautiful flower garden! We encourage you to revisit this moving experience with the unedited script collection.

The first script collection written in Jeju dialect in Korea!
Limited edition first edition with author's autograph and message included!

Until now, Jeju Island has only appeared briefly as a travel destination in dramas.
There are few examples of Jeju Island being depicted as a place of life, and even when a Jeju native appears, the dialogue is in standard Korean.
However, “Our Blues” uses the Jeju dialect as its main language, giving viewers a true glimpse into the lives of those who were born, raised, and live in Jeju.
Thanks to this, the Jeju dialect, which initially felt unfamiliar like a foreign language, becomes easier to understand as the episodes progress, and in some ways, it even becomes endearing.
Is that why?
People can often be seen imitating lines from dramas in their daily lives, saying things like, “Are you safe?” or “Have you eaten?”
The reason why the drama's main language was able to be filled with the Jeju dialect is thanks to the efforts of writer Noh Hee-kyung, who studied the dialect herself while living in Jeju before writing the drama.

However, if you look closely, you can often find that the lines written by the writer and the lines performed by the actor are slightly different.
Just like the standard language, the Jeju dialect has different written and spoken styles.
It is said that the writer and actors varied the Jeju dialect in the script on set based on the local dialect that the locals taught them, and comparing and confirming this directly is a major attraction of this script book.

The script collection for "Our Blues," consisting of two volumes, contains the final writer's version of the script before it was edited for broadcast, and you can see Noh Hee-kyung's signature emotional fingerprints, which the actors praised.

Limited edition script books with the author's autograph and message printed on them are available for the first edition only.
