Kierkegaard was introduced to Korea quite a while ago.
It was introduced during the Japanese colonial period, so a lot of time has passed.
According to Professor Kim Eung-kyo, the well-known poet Yun Dong-ju already knew and read Kierkegaard's writings at the time.
There has been research on Kierkegaard, primarily in the field of philosophy.
However, in the field of theology and in Korean Christianity, it has not only not been properly introduced, but there are also many parts that are misunderstood.

I don't want to describe all the misunderstandings here.
Just to point out one thing, Francis Schaeffer has been widely introduced in Korea, and he describes Kierkegaard as almost the father of a 'traitor' to Christianity.
This seems to have created a lot of misunderstanding within the group of ministers who majored in theology.
Moreover, it seems that the publishers who publish the book also have a preconceived notion about Kierkegaard.
From this perspective, it is true that we face considerable difficulties in introducing Kierkegaard in the reality of Christianity, which is losing credibility day by day.

In this context, the intention of this book is to help readers read his prayers themselves and understand his work from a religious perspective, even if only a little.
As you read the prayers and commentaries, you will discover how deeply he understands Jesus Christ and the gospel.

The satisfaction of the world is temporary, and no matter how much you fill it, you will inevitably feel it is not enough.
But God is the one who gives us true satisfaction.
Jesus said, “Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst” (John 4:14).
