The authors of Proverbs are Solomon, Agur, Lemuel, and other wise men, and the period of writing is around 950-700 BC.
The word "wisdom" appears 41 times in the Book of Proverbs.
Here, wisdom means ‘fearing the Lord.’
Chapters 1-9 speak of the value of wisdom, and chapters 10-29 teach us how to acquire wisdom and advise us to follow the path of wisdom.
And verses 30-31 teach us to discern between wisdom and foolishness and to practice wisdom.


The key verse in Proverbs is, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding” (Proverbs 9:10).
It is no exaggeration to say that life is a process of overcoming waves of hardship.
Proverbs teaches us to fear God and to entrust the management of our lives to Him.
The book of Proverbs contains wisdom about the fear of God, anger, money, speech, wisdom, honesty, and more.
At the crossroads of choice, Proverbs are signposts that show us the blessed path.
Through the proverbs written by the wisest of mankind, I hope to gain the wisdom to live a valuable and beautiful life without wandering through its short life.
