I find myself becoming more awkward than usual in unfamiliar environments and with unfamiliar people.
There's nothing wrong with being cautious, but sometimes excessive fear can prevent you from moving forward.
And that fear often comes from the gaze, reputation, or rumors of others, which are usually intangible.
This book conveys the message that when meeting new friends or venturing into a new world, we should approach it with an open mind rather than being fearful.

Author's Note

"Mo's Story" is a picture book drawn with a pen, featuring my pet cat, "Modaeri," as the main character.
Modari followed my younger brother, whom he met on the street in the winter of 2018, to our house.
This cute cat with a large, round spot next to his nose is timid, but also curious.
The name 'Modaeri' was created to mean 'hairy model' and 'agent' of the brand Hugin & Munin, which my family runs.
"Mo's Story" is a story written while imagining what happened to Modari before she met our family.

Since we don't know where and how she was born and raised, we end up imagining many things about her.
'Mo' is a young cat who still doesn't know much.
I created a story based on my imagination about what would happen if a young cat named Mo, unable to contain his curiosity, left home in the middle of the night and went into the dark forest.
And this book also contains a message I want to convey to my younger brother who discovered Modari.
When I saw my younger brother worrying about new challenges or encounters, I wanted to cheer him on.
To all of you who, like my brother, are about to embark on a new journey, I wanted to share this message: "Don't be too afraid."
I hope that readers will find 'Mo's' naive and cute appearance amusing and enjoy reading it while cheering on 'Mo's' little adventure.
