Love the stars
Description
Book Introduction
With a light blue color and gentle writing and pictures
A love story between you and me, as brilliant as the stars that decorate the sky
Poet Na Tae-joo of Wildflowers x Naver Webtoon writer So-young
'A collection of emotional comic poems about love'!
This is a collection of comic poems by author Soyoung, who gained popularity by securing a fandom with the Naver webtoon 『Handmade Today Too!』, and poet Na Tae-ju, who has a warm and cozy sensibility like cotton, and has a sentimental story on top of round pastel-toned drawings.
The poet, now in his eighties, wrote poetry out of love, and he still writes poetry today.
Love is something that has no answer in the first place.
It grows, changes, and sometimes blooms on its own.
Writer Soyoung chose poems about love from the poet's collection and read them over and over again for six months.
As I read and pondered the poems that reached many people with easy words and style, what I felt was love for people.
Finally, the author weaved the short stories that came to mind while reading poems that spoke warmly, affectionately, and above all, friendly, into a single story.

Author's Note
Greenie's words
ugly doll
shrimp eyes
Clumsiness
That child's flower tree
2 in front of you
daughter
coming spring
As autumn draws to a close
Don't ask
dried flowers
Sometimes love is
Wild chrysanthemum
Mutter to myself
life
life
Still, my heart remains
You won't know
When love comes
That word
Love the stars
Snow Buddha 2
waiting time
Love is always awkward
island
I don't know either
So, finally
cold hands
for the first time
In the end
Stay by my side for a long time
spring people
Responding to love
The person I love
Windy day
chair
tide
call
Falling flowers
snowman
dew
Falling magnolia blossoms
January 1st
The love left behind
It's raining in spring
You are far away again today
Parents' hearts
confession
moonlit night
I met you today
With fragrance
Like the sea
Look at the picture
You are me
I know it
isolated house
I guess I
Thank you for your love

Into the book
Saying you're going
I can't bring myself to do it
Let's break up
I can't do it anymore
I just kept hesitating
I was just fumbling around
With words I couldn't bring myself to say
It's become hardened
With my head bowed
Without being able to hide your appearance.
---From "Dried Flowers"
Sometimes love is about having the same feeling
Sweating together and doing the same thing
Walking down the street while holding hands properly
There's nothing more to it
Sometimes love is expressed without words
Listen to each other's heart's words with your heart's ear
Being able to understand
It doesn't get any better than that
---From "Sometimes Love"
When you're close
When you're far away
I often feel his gaze
When we are very far apart
If you could hear his breathing
Obviously you know him
I started to love you
Don't doubt
Don't be shy and hide it
That's how love comes
Turn your head
Even though my eyes were closed.
---From "When Love Comes"
If you laugh
I laugh along too
If you have a frowning face
I also frown
If you make a dark expression
I'm so scared
Is something hurting somewhere?
Could something be bothering you?
How did it end up like this?
I don't know either.
---From "I Don't Know"
He doesn't know that I love him.
I don't know that you have been patiently waiting for me.
I know you're hurting me
When I wanted to take it all and become something
He finally becomes a flower.
---From "Only Now"
I met you today
The most beautiful person in the world
I will tell you that I met you
Because I think of you all day long
The purest heart in the world
I will say I hugged you
I love you today
I love the whole world
I will say that I know the whole world.
---From "Confession"
I'm on the clouds right now
Where are you now?
I'm in the wind now
Where are you now?
I cry when I see flowers
Ask the tree for directions.
I can't bring myself to do it
Let's break up

Publisher's Review
“Do you know my feelings for you? Or not?”
My clumsy love story to tell you
The main characters of the story are Tae-woo and Seong-eun, who have lived next door to each other since childhood and have developed a special friendship.
The way to school for those who have now become teenagers.
On the path lined with vines of daffodils, Tae-woo realizes that his friendship with Seong-eun has turned into interest, or rather, love.
“You always say that you are dissatisfied with your eyes / being crooked like shrimps. "But I think / there are no eyes as pretty as yours in this world." When I look into them, they are so / clear and blue and deep. "Wow! You wouldn't know my heart / that wants to jump into your eyes." Seong-eun only looks at Tae-woo's taciturnity and clumsiness with familiarity, whether she knows Tae-woo's feelings contained in the full text of "Shrimp Eyes."
Then one day, misfortune struck Seong-eun.
After her father suddenly collapses and passes away, Seong-eun's family moves to Seoul, where her relatives live.
“At first, I used to ask, ‘When are you going to go / When are you going to leave / How long will you stay by my side?
Again / I asked as if I was nagging "But now / I don't ask anything / I decided not to ask "I'm just thankful that you're by my side / Even just hearing your breathing / makes me tear up / That one song / I say / Only until it's over "The winter sunlight on the curtain hem / I say again / Only until it fades away." The full text of "I Didn't Ask" contains Tae-woo's regretful feelings about the separation.
Where else can you just burn it?
Although she may appear calm on the outside, Seong-eun's heart must be feeling the same.
From childhood friends to lovers
A sweet love story that continues!
As Tae-woo enters his 20s and joins the military without ever contacting each other, he occasionally thinks of Seong-eun, but Seong-eun's daily life, which has become the head of the household, is not easy as she works part-time at a convenience store and a cafe.
Tae-woo tries to put aside his thoughts about Seong-eun and concentrate on his social life, but the two meet as if by fate at the cafe where Seong-eun works.
“A little shyly / A little awkwardly / Hesitating and faltering / The world seen with half-opened eyes “That is love / You won’t know now” Later, and even later / You won’t know / Because time has taken many things away.” (Full text from “You Won’t Know”) Can the two people who started their social lives a little awkwardly and went through many changes over a not-so-short period of time really be united in love? As much as Tae-woo was sincere to Seong-eun, did Seong-eun also truly love Tae-woo?
The emotionally charged story, perfectly in tune with the poet's poetry, comes to life through Soyoung's delicate details.
The story of Tae-woo and Seong-eun, who have watched over each other, comforted each other, and carefully nurtured their love for a long time, is not just theirs.
It is a story of love, devotion, and hope, shared by family and school friends.
Actually, I wrote poetry because I loved it.
Even though I've been writing poetry all my life, I'm still writing poetry at the age of 80.
What can we call this endless, solitary muttering and monologue? This too is true, it exists, but there's no way to explain it.
That's because life's work is so futile and complex and subtle.
But our writer Soyoung chose poems about love from among my poems and created a story and protagonist that fit the feeling of the poems, and made a comic book collection of poems.
The main character and story are fresh and pretty.
Not only is the content that seems to be connected but also the faint sky-blue colors of the pictures and the kind-hearted appearance of the main character gently shake people's hearts.
Ah, so this is how love can be answered, a bright light lights up in my heart.
- Na Tae-ju (poet)
For half a year, I read poetry, wrote stories, and drew pictures, and I found a few things I wanted to emulate in the poet.
One is the sheer volume of work that I can't even read in a short period of time.
Aside from the poems I read this time, the poet's number of poems is truly enormous.
I try to move my hands more consistently and live more while I have time to consider other people's feelings.
Another subject of observation was truly diverse.
As I carefully read the poems included in “Loving the Stars,” I felt a little funny when I felt that men, women, parents, children, adults and children, nature and time were all speakers within the theme of “love,” and I was only focused on the perspective of a woman in her 30s.
Lastly, and most importantly, the temperature of the writing was warm.
The poems that reach many people with easy words and style that anyone can understand were truly affectionate.
As I chewed on the poem while working, the taste that lingered in my mind was love for people.
