Are you uncomfortable? Upset? Angry?
Description
Book Introduction
“When I change my words, the children change.”
The teacher's words are very important.
A word spoken carelessly falls into the hearts of children, silently taking root, sprouting stems and growing into a tree that bears fruit.
Whether those words were seeds of love or seeds of hurt, the fruit will remain in the children's hearts for a very long time.
This book is a small gift for teachers who want to live more peacefully with children, parents who want to communicate more comfortably with their children, anyone who wants to immediately practice nonviolent communication expressed in simple terms, and anyone who wants to reflect more frequently on how their words plant seeds in the hearts of others.
Nonviolent communication, which attempts to build empathy, is not a grand technique.
It starts with first examining my own heart by asking, “Are you uncomfortable?”, “Are you upset?”, “Are you angry?”, and then carefully knocking on the child’s heart and listening intently.
Empathy comes from those small, warm beginnings.
