A triumph of democracy! For the first time in constitutional history, a president is impeached on charges of sedition!

The martial law declared by the Yoon Seok-yeol administration on December 3, 2024, starkly exposed the vulnerabilities of South Korean democracy.
As stipulated in Article 1 of the Constitution of the Republic of Korea, ultimate state power resides with the people. However, excessive elitism has supported a strong imperial presidency and elevated the Constitutional Court to the final arbiter of political issues, completely excluding the people, the owners of the country.
Since President Yoon Seok-yeol declared martial law, South Korea's geopolitical position in the world has also been greatly shaken.
The New York Times cited South Korea as a prime example of a failed U.S. alliance that undermined America's goals.
In order to prevent the impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol, who trampled on the Constitution and declared martial law, and the trampling on the Constitution that occurred during the impeachment situation from ever taking place again in this land, every citizen of the Republic of Korea must read the Constitution of the Republic of Korea along with the ‘Decision on the Impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol.’
After a long journey of four months from martial law to impeachment of the president, the president was finally impeached by a unanimous decision of the Constitutional Court on April 4, 2025.
The decision to impeach the president who instigated the civil war is a triumph of democracy and a victory for the people.
The decision to impeach President Yoon Seok-yeol, which demonstrated the spirit of the Korean people to protect the Constitution and their aspiration for democracy, will be remembered as another national victory since the June Struggle of 1987.
