2030, Chronicles of the Soul
Description
Book Introduction
A look into the abyss of the conservative 2030s!
Analyze the depth of gender issues in our society,
I propose a major debate in the feminist camp!
There is an old saying that if a woman harbors resentment, frost will fall in May or June.
Now, there is a saying that if Lee Dae-nam harbors resentment, he will elect a monster like Yoon Seok-yeol as president.
It is said that the political awareness of men in their 20s in our society is the same as that of the elderly in their 70s.
This is not an ordinary thing.
What on earth happened to them? This book addresses that question.
This book revisits ten gender politics issues that have plagued the souls of South Korean youth from 1999 to 2025.
These issues include the birth of ultra-high-speed internet and adult videos, the abolition of military service points and misogyny, Roh Moo-hyun and Ilbe's defamation of the deceased, Megalia and misandry, the Moon Jae-in administration and feminism, the Telegram sexual exploitation incident, the death of Park Won-soon, the Lee Jun-seok phenomenon, the election of Yoon Seok-yeol, and the deepfake sex crime issue.
This book is an enlightening guide for the older generation into the online world.
The days of automatically being treated like an adult just because you're older are over.
This is an era where everyone must learn forever.
If you want to talk to young people, or at least try to understand them, you have to be prepared to wake up.
We must experience the dark shadow of online culture and the depth of frustration among young men.

The Last Story
272 If you don't want to fight the goblin
Into the book
Why did young people elect a candidate for president who would withdraw his support almost immediately after his election?
--- p.15
The city's appearance is cleaned up, but the existence of the sewer system is forgotten.
The sewer system proves its existence and exacts revenge through its stench and contagious diseases.
Low-quality internet communities work on the same principle.
--- p.21
The progressive camp underestimated how quickly online sewers degrade.
--- p.24
A bizarre scene unfolded where young people in their 20s and 30s, holding smartphones, and people in their 70s united as a single force, chanting anti-Moon Jae-in and anti-Democratic Party.
--- p.27
Those who had no hope of resolving their sense of deprivation through their own abilities or their parents' financial resources took personal revenge by voting for Yoon Seok-yeol.
I can't sympathize with it, but it was a choice that wasn't "incomprehensible."
--- p.35
The 86 generation and those born in the 70s, to which I belong, had a vague expectation during their college years that “when the older generation leaves, the world will be reorganized around progressives.”
But the world wasn't that simple.
--- p.39
Why does the anger of young people seem to be directed solely at the Democratic Party? Why do they ignore the problems of the conservative establishment, which enjoys wealth and privilege and holds perpetual power?
--- p.103
After World War I, Germany itself was a huge class-defecting nation.
...
The bourgeoisie, the small merchants, and the working class all fell simultaneously.
At this time, Hitler appeared.
--- p.108
The youth's hatred of the left must be approached from an emotional perspective, not a historical-sociological one.
...
Young people have their own history, different from that of the 86 generation.
--- p.108
Lee Jun-seok does not apologize even though the man he made president declared martial law and attempted to slaughter his own people.
They just say, “It’s such a shame.”
Like a teenager who ruins the game by choosing the wrong item and gets frustrated.
--- p.121
A political agenda that requires sacrifice and bloodshed is impossible in today's highly advanced capitalist society.
...
Since Korea is also a highly capitalist country, the left as a political force in the traditional sense does not actually exist.
--- p.154
Both the Sewol Ferry and the May 18th Gwangju Democratization Movement are now mere memories of the distant past for them.
Their suffering is more urgent.
The suffering of others is “alphabano.”
The 86 generation was unable to read this change.
--- p.159
Each individual faces it as an individual, isolated from others.
Don't be afraid of the hardness and don't confront the structure.
...
They are only interested in the route to becoming Young and Rich individually.
--- p.161
Since 2010, the blatant perception that “the weak = the poor = losers” has been strengthened.
Young people also began to dislike their weak identity.
...
At the very least, I want to obtain a level of material wealth that is not outrageous.
--- p.197
Progressive leftists can be branded hypocrites at any time if their mistakes are discovered.
The risk is high.
On the other hand, the conservative right doesn't make much noise even when corruption is discovered.
--- p.199
If you get angry after watching MC Muhyun's music video, you are either from the 86 generation or the 40-50 age group.
If you understand or sympathize with the intention of the mockery, it is 2030.
If you laugh without knowing what it means, you're a teenager --- p.201
The 86 generation...
They understood the word "fairness" to mean "eliminating inequality caused by structural discrimination and exploitation." The MZ generation's concept of fairness as "fair rules" is a backlash against the 86 generation's understanding of language.
--- p.203
A regime that fails to moderate the greed of its people will fail.
The Democratic Party government in the future must keep this in mind.
--- p.211
Jang Dae-ho is a person who worships the natural law of force.
However, Jang Dae-ho in the offline world was rather closer to the socially disadvantaged.
He was a motel employee who worked silently without any possessions.
--- p.232
The path to salvation opens by acknowledging that we are all fallible beings.
We must ensure that our definitions do not hurt anyone.
You must also know how to remain silent in the face of unknown circumstances.
--- p.234
The sight of men and women fighting over who is weaker is like a comedy.
...
But these Olympics are no laughing matter.
Even men who have fallen to the level of losers are still men.
Their physique is superior to that of women.
The power to destroy, terrorize, and take revenge remains.
--- p.15
The city's appearance is cleaned up, but the existence of the sewer system is forgotten.

Publisher's Review
This book is a cry for the times of crisis!!
On April 4, 2025, Yoon Seok-yeol was finally impeached.
The presidential election that elected Yoon Seok-yeol on March 9, 2022, was itself a tragedy.
The three-year or so Yoon Seok-yeol era is coming to an end, and a new era is about to begin.
But the color of the future is still uncertain.
There is a widely shared feeling that South Korea, despite its apparent abundance, is falling into the abyss.
There isn't much time to correct course.
An enlightening book that reveals the root of Korea's political crisis!!
The political consciousness of Lee Dae-nam is the same as that of the elderly in their 70s!!
Since the mid-2010s, feminist discourse has emerged as a mainstream social discourse.
The discourse of youth conservatism and Lee Dae-nam soon emerged.
The 2022 presidential election was a huge clash between two discourses.
Three years passed, and the young men's temporary sense of triumph gave way to frustration.
The older generations are still confused and don't understand the meaning of the conflict.
They are not even trying to talk to the young people.
To understand that conflict, we must analyze it.
Analysis should be concise and to the point.
This book analyzes the in-depth gender issues that have arisen in Korean society since 2010, the beginning of the smartphone era, and since 1999, the dawn of the Internet era.
An overview of the war surrounding the souls of the youth of 2030.
It explains in straightforward language what is happening inside them.
Ultra-fast internet created the millennial generation, and smartphones created Generation Z.
Most of them are children of the 86 generation.
The 86 generation interpreted MZ's online individualism as political conservatism.
I tried to correct my children and nephews with scolding and admonishment, but I ended up being embarrassed.
Young people who grew up in the online world had no intention of following the irrationality and political power structures of the offline world.
A must-read for the 86 generation, feminists, and MZ parents!!
Why have young men in South Korea become more conservative?
Mr. Kim, who entered Syria in 2015 to join ISIS and disappeared, and James Fields, the mastermind of the 2017 Charlottesville far-right terrorist attack, were both born in 1997.
They are the first generation of humans to experience puberty alongside the popularization of smartphones.
We should consider that all people born in the 2000s grew up in the same environment.
Generations that have not shared their experiences must be reborn to understand them.
In the era of social media capitalism, only the most extravagant is recognized as victorious.
Young men's conservatism and aversion to feminism have become trends.
Poor young people also have a powerful weapon that allows them to forget the offline reality.
You can immerse yourself in an online world where dopamine bursts at the touch of a finger.
Some try to realize their online world fantasies offline.
That's when the danger begins.
Martial law and civil war brought a latent crisis to light.
The young people who are shouting against impeachment are not a handful of exceptional individuals.
Even if you want to correct their wrong thinking, they refuse to even be with you, let alone be corrected.
There is only one way left.
The older generation needs to go into the online world and smell it for themselves.
Otherwise, conversation will be impossible forever.
Conspicuous capitalism, feminism, internet male-dominated communities,
Analyzing the in-depth gender issues in Korean society!!
This book revisits the ten major gender political issues that have plagued the souls of South Korean youth from 1999 to 2025.
At the heart of all these issues are (1) feminism and (2) online communities.
The inauguration of the Kim Dae-jung government in 1998 and the introduction of high-speed Internet in 1999 were significant historical coincidences.
The Kim Dae-jung administration was pro-feminist, and the spread of high-speed internet enabled the emergence of anti-feminist male-dominated online communities.
Analysis should begin here.
Feminists emphasize the history of structural sexism and the risk of sexual violence in everyday life.
The 86 generation supported this feminism according to the dictates of their conscience.
But at the same time, the number of young men who were defeated under ostentatious capitalism continued to grow.
The voices of the weeded out men were ignored.
Their voices began to fill the online sewer community of male thugs.
The 2000s were a time when the feminist war camps were being formed, and the 2010s were a time when the online civil war surrounding feminism began.
The extreme individualism realized by smartphones has created a unique reality in everyone's soul.
A solidarity was formed among people who shared similar alternative realities.
That's how the far-right youth who hate feminism and oppose the impeachment of Yoon Seok-yeol grew up.
The author urges a deep reflection from the 86 generation and feminists.
I propose a major debate in the Korean feminist camp!!
The 86 generation and feminists also lived in their own reality.
Many of them still regard martial law and civil war as exceptional madness.
They don't try to understand that the anger of young people lies in the birth of the monster called Yoon Seok-yeol.
They refuse to acknowledge that the memories of the 1986 generation's one-sided feminism and hypocrisy fueled the anger of unfortunate young people.
Even though martial law ended in failure, the young people who were shouting against impeachment did not disappear.
Yoon Seok-yeol's internal strife is not over, and the mental civil war is still ongoing.
Young men who see themselves as outcasts, who heap ridicule and hatred on others online, are incapable of healing their own wounds.
The older generation and women's groups must first show sacrifice and dedication.
The author, born in 1974, gave up his position as a university professor in 2017 and went to study abroad in Germany without any prerequisites.
The author also initially experienced Yoon Seok-yeol's election in 2022 as a kind of trauma.
However, I became enlightened myself by exploring internet communities and YouTube.
He soon wrote this book with a heart full of anguish, unable to ignore the problems of the times.
Log Tree Publishing pays tribute to the author's insight and courage in seeing the times and captures his voice here.
The birth of this book is a historical inevitability.
