Description
Book Introduction
“How to deal with one love
She wanted to know”
In search of love alienated from love

Poet Kim So-yeon's prose work, "There is no love in love," has been published in the [Munji Ecri] series.
Since her debut, Kim So-yeon has been building her own unique world of poetry while also consistently writing prose pieces imbued with delicate observation and poetic sensibility, including 『Dictionary of the Heart』, 『The World of Poetry』, and 『Dictionary of One Letter』.
Recently, I looked back on the small details and preciousness of life through 『The Whole World Without Me』, which is a collection of my personal experiences and thoughts.
This time, such a writer turned his gaze outside himself and began to gaze at the eternal Other called 'love'.

In this world where love is considered as consuming and enjoying love, Kim So-yeon wants to understand love as a verb, not a noun, that is, as 'to love.'
Rather than fixating love as a single concept, we acknowledge and accept its fluidity and diversity.
Thus, even in today's 'empty love', the author strives to explore the possibility of a new love.
The discourse on love, which has long been monopolized by male philosophers, is written in a purely female voice, using the third person, in a calm yet warm style.

Therefore, just as the author hopes that this book will be “a very small beginning of a story I can write about love,” we will have the opportunity to reflect on love, or rather, the meaning of loving, through “Love Has No Love.”

Into the book
People are not free from the love they have learned through the fantasy of romantic narratives.
The love I experience is so shabby, but the love in the movies is so sweet, so I always feel like there's something wrong with me.
Love seems to be somewhere else, and what I'm doing feels like a mistake, an ordeal, a struggle.

There was a face she missed very, very much, so she picked up a pencil and drew it.
There was absolutely no way for her to see that face.
I was missing her so much that I ended up drawing her face without even realizing it.
I picked up a pencil and drew a thin line along my jawline.
And it wasn't that face at all, so I quickly erased it.
I drew the line again slowly.
And then I deleted it again.
As she continued to draw and erase like that, the face appeared precisely at the tip of the pencil she was holding.
By drawing and erasing lines like that over and over again, I finally drew the lips, ears, and completed the eyebrows and pupils.
I sat in front of the paper like that for several days.
