2025 Korea Wooden Architecture Competition Completion Category Award Winner

At the '2025 Korea Wooden Architecture Competition' hosted by the Korea Wood Construction Association, organized by the Korea Forest Service, and sponsored by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Seoul Metropolitan Government, 11 completed works and 15 planned works were selected as award winners.
The Korea Wooden Architecture Competition, now in its 23rd year, is a representative wooden architecture competition that began in 2003. Its purpose is to widely promote the excellence and necessity of eco-friendly wooden architecture and to encourage active participation from students, thereby increasing the future potential of wooden architecture.

A total of 87 works were submitted to this year's contest, including 66 works in the planning category and 21 works in the completion category.
Experts in wooden architecture evaluate this competition as an opportunity to explore the structural potential and social and urban possibilities of wooden architecture, and in particular, as an important venue where changes and experiments in Korean wooden architecture could be fully detected.
It has been confirmed on site that the level of our wooden architecture is advancing to the next level.

In this issue, we introduce 10 of the 11 award-winning works in the construction category along with the judges' comments.
Among these, two residential works were examined in detail.
