Book Introduction
Tabula Rasa, famous for its travel maps, has released “Aiden Travel Map of Our Country 2nd Edition.”
That item you've probably thought about at least once: organizing 5,000 years of Korean history on a map! That item you've probably thought about at least once: "How great would it be if there was a map that organized all of our country's history?" This historical map was created in response to that question.
The A1-sized map contains over 1,000 historical stories and location-based historical spots from the Paleolithic Age to Gojoseon, Goguryeo, Balhae, Goryeo, Baekje, Silla, Joseon, and the Korean Empire.
Historical sites such as town walls, government offices, historical villages, Confucian schools, and history-related museums are also marked, making it an excellent choice for finding historical travel destinations.

Someone had thought that they would make a map of these historical spots.
Since no one was making it, we decided to make it ourselves.
It was not easy to capture 5,000 years of history on a single sheet of paper.
The paper is a bit large, about A1 size, but I also thought that it would be realistically difficult to fit that much information into this size.
So I had no choice but to reduce the font size.
Instead of reducing the font size, we included a portable magnifying glass to help those with poor eyesight.
There is probably no map anywhere in our country that organizes history on a large map.
It is said that if you remember the location and information together, your memory will increase significantly (associative memory method). This is definitely an item that will increase your memory.
- 589 AD, Emperor Wen of Sui, and the three subsequent attacks on Goguryeo by Emperor Yang of Sui are shown.
- Location of the Battle of Salsu by General Eulji Mundeok (Due to General Eulji Mundeok's strategy, 297,300 of the 300,000 Sui troops were annihilated, with only 2,700 surviving)
- Border markings of Silla (absorbed by Baekje and Goguryeo), early Goryeo, late Goryeo, and Joseon dynasties (4 counties and 6 garrisons)
- Japanese geography map (not marked as the Sea of Korea or colored as a Japanese territory)
- Marking the route of the Japanese invasion and the battle sites between the Joseon army and volunteers at the start of the Imjin War in 1592
- Late Goryeo Dynasty border (14th century King Gongmin)
- Jumong moved from Buyeo to Jolbeonseong and founded Goguryeo.
- Display of pre- and post-Gojoseon cultural sphere
- The castles and royal tombs of Gaeseong
- Location of the Pyongyang Castle area and King Gogukwon's tomb in Pyongyang
- The Donghak Peasant Army's course and combat status
