There are no more Michael Jordan books in Korea!
The first book to tell the story of Jordan's career, focusing on the game.
A masterpiece by basketball journalist and Jordan fanatic Dae-beom Son.
Brainstore, a renowned sports title publisher, is releasing a new basketball book in collaboration with reporter Son Dae-beom, also known as "Agricultural Brother."
This book covers the career of 'Legend of Legends' Michael Jordan, and its title is 'Michael Jordan Legend 25 - 25 Great Games That Made Him the Emperor of Basketball'.
Author Dae-Beom Son, who has been a basketball journalist for over 25 years and a Michael Jordan fan for nearly 35 years, has long wanted to write a book that summarizes Michael Jordan's career, focusing on the games in which he played his greatest roles.
Thus, after more than five years of reporting, research, and writing, I produced a massive text amounting to approximately 2,700 pages (200-character manuscript paper) of draft text.
Those sentences came together one by one to form a book called “Michael Jordan Legend 25.”
Reporter Son Dae-beom has been writing on the topic of “Top 30 Stories of Michael Jordan’s Great Plays that Made Him the Emperor of Basketball” for a long time.
I wrote about 30 games by comprehensively considering the importance and meaning of the game, Michael Jordan's performance, and the story and atmosphere before and after the game, regardless of the record or result.
I have compiled countless games, including Jordan's NBA games, NCAA games during his college days, and Olympic games as a member of the national team.
The work began after examining and examining over 1,000 games from Michael Jordan's career, and in the final stage of work, 25 games were selected after discussion with the publisher's editorial department.
This book's greatest strength and identity is that it is a biography and sports documentary that vividly tells the story of Michael Jordan, the world's greatest and greatest basketball player of all time, through the perspective and standards of Korea's best basketball journalist, Son Dae-beom.
Michael Jordan is a legendary basketball player who needs no introduction and a figure who brought about a revolution in the professional sports industry around the world.
He is considered one of the greatest players in the history of the National Basketball Association (NBA), and during his prime with the Chicago Bulls, he won six championships, was awarded MVP five times, and was selected to the All-Star team 14 times, among other accomplishments.
He has established himself as a global sports icon beyond the country of the United States and the sport of basketball, and is an immortal sports star who still maintains his star power and marketability even after more than 20 years since his retirement.
Jordan's incredible star power, outstanding scoring ability, competitive spirit, and problem-solving instincts displayed during his active career were not limited to basketball, but had a huge impact on all aspects of media and popular culture, including TV, movies, advertising, and fashion.
The legacy he left behind gave birth to 'Jordan Kids' all over the world, and the author of this book, 'Michael Jordan Legend 25 - 25 Great Games That Made Him the Emperor of Basketball', basketball journalist Son Dae-beom, is also a Jordan Kid and Jordan maniac to the extent that he would be second to none in Korea.
Perhaps it was Jordan who led him to the path of becoming a basketball reporter and was the driving force that has kept him working as a basketball reporter for the past 27 to 28 years.
This book is a gift for all Jordan kids and Jordan maniacs in Korea.
And for today's poor basketball fans who didn't get to see Michael Jordan's play during his time, this will be content that will make them realize that he is not just someone from a legend, but a living, breathing 'legend'.

The Brainstore editorial department dares to assert that.

Into the book
The greatest moment of a final that has made history happened in the last 17 seconds.
Jordan, who received a pass from Black on the left, hit the decisive shot to turn the game around to 62-61.
Everyone thought Jordan would make the breakthrough, but the deciding factor was a jump shot.
Everyone was surprised.
Even his best friend, Buzz Patterson, was thinking to himself, "That's ridiculous."
It is said that his father, James Jordan, completely closed his eyes.
But Jordan's shot was already calculated.
Coach Smith, who called a timeout with 32 seconds left in the game, instructed Jordan not to move much and to wait on the wing.
I read that the opponent would only look at Wordy and Perkins.

From “A New World Opens”
At that time, Jordan's heart was burning with revenge.
He was not the type of person to just let it go after being humiliated.
Interestingly, the matchup between Jordan and Thomas took place just three days after the All-Star Game on February 10th.
Chicago's first game after the All-Star break was against the Detroit Pistons.
Jordan was more serious than ever.
It might have been more serious because it was a game that depended on whether the team would maintain a .500 record or not.
But Jordan's focus was on one thing: to show something to Thomas and those who laughed at him.
In the end, he scored 49 points, his highest score since his NBA debut.
He added six more points in overtime to secure a 139-126 victory.
The win snapped Chicago's four-game losing streak.
Jordan looked like an angry man.
The opponent's rough defense blocked him, but no one gave him any mercy.

From "Between Mistake and Revenge"
For a team like the Bulls, which had a strong image of "Jordan's one-man team," it would be intimidating if teammates thought of them as "hangers-on."
Even if Jordan passes late, it is difficult to perform well because he is not ready to attack or has poor intuition.
In fact, Jordan wasn't the only one who was crushed by the Pistons' rough play.
Pippen also had a series of hardships.
In the first quarter of Game 6, he was knocked out by Laimbeer's elbow.
His performance plummeted as he suffered concussion symptoms.
Conversely, Isaiah Thomas scored 17 points in the fourth quarter alone as the Pistons won 103-94.
The Bulls finished the season with four straight losses after two straight wins.
Jordan was frustrated.
He asked General Manager McCloughski.
But it was more of a complaint than a question.
“Will the day ever come when we beat you?” Then, General Manager McClosky said to Jordan,
“Michael, your time will come soon.
“I think you’ll come soon.”

From "The Jordan Rules" that Perfected Jordan
The biggest stumbling block was, of course, Jordan.
Jordan was afraid of 'sharing'.
It's because I didn't trust my colleagues enough.
Jordan was concerned about the problems that could arise if the ball went to a player with weak individual skills.
Coach Jackson was careful to give them opportunities to touch the ball so they could learn how to lead the offense.
It also taught Jordan how to make things difficult for his opponents even when he didn't have the ball.
He gave the opponent the idea that he could grab the ball and attack at any time.
But basketball is a game of complete interaction.
The skills of my colleagues had to improve.
What's encouraging is that despite the failure of the 1989-1990 season, Jordan and his team didn't give up on the system.
The day after their shocking loss to the Pistons, the Bulls bounced back, and it only served to solidify the team.

Publisher's Review
Son Dae-beom, aka 'Nonghak-hyung', Korea's representative basketball journalist
Curated 25 of Michael Jordan's Greatest Games
『Michael Jordan Legend 25 - 25 Great Games That Made Him the Emperor of Basketball』 continues from "Chapter 1 - A New World Opens," which covers the 1982 NCAA Tournament Championship game between the University of North Carolina and Georgetown University, when Michael Jordan made a brilliant debut on the American basketball scene as a 19-year-old college freshman, to "Chapter 25 - GOOD-BYE MICHAEL," which covers the game between the Washington Wizards and the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2002-2003 NBA season, which was the last game of Jordan's basketball career.
In between, stories of dazzling matches, great performances, and incredible fighting spirit are vividly conveyed as if they were real-time live broadcasts.
However, this is not a book that deifies or idolizes Michael Jordan.
There are also episodes that show how his excessive competitive spirit sometimes made his teammates tired and exhausted, and how his attempts to shoulder all the burden on his own and solve the problem did not always lead to good results.
Although Jordan achieved more valuable and beautiful things than anyone else on the basketball court, he also talks about aspects of his life that were sometimes not so desirable and smooth off the court.
However, such stories cannot shake the status of Jordan, the 'Emperor of Basketball'.
It's understandable how hard he worked, how constantly he pushed himself to get to the top, how even though he was already a top-tier superstar, and had achieved so much that it seemed like there could be no more motivation or sense of purpose, he still tormented and pushed himself to achieve and accomplish more. His competitive nature and beastly desire to win are literally jaw-dropping.
Jordan often gives a formulaic answer to people who ask him the secret to his success:
“I missed 9,000 shots in my career and lost nearly 300 times.
There were 26 instances where a winning shot that was expected to go in missed the rim.
I have failed over and over again.
That's why I was successful.”
Finding the reason for success in failure, growing and developing through the process of repeated failures. Perhaps basketball journalist Son Dae-beom did not want to reexamine Jordan's performance itself, but curated and told the story of 25 great games to convey the true meaning and basis of success as Jordan thought.
He says he will never forget the dreamlike moment he had when he met and interviewed Michael Jordan in Shanghai, China in 2015.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that this book, "Michael Jordan Legend 25 - 25 Great Games That Made Him the Emperor of Basketball," was another dream he had been preparing for for nearly 10 years, starting from the moment his dream came true.
That sentiment will be conveyed to those who loved Michael Jordan and NBA basketball at that time.
This book is worth owning simply for its identity as the first book to focus on the career of Jordan, arguably the greatest player in basketball history, or indeed in the history of any sport.
