People of the Gospel 1
People of the Gospel 1
Description
Book Introduction
This book is a textbook that teaches the life and words of Jesus as evidenced in the four Gospels of the New Testament (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) through Bible stories and follow-up activities.
All 66 books of the Bible are words of promise and fulfillment that testify to Jesus Christ, but the four Gospels in particular are living scriptures containing the testimony of the apostles who accompanied Jesus, the incarnate Son of God.
Volume 1 focuses on the Gospel of Mark, allowing you to learn about Jesus' public ministry, His salvation ministry during His last week, and the people who met Jesus and were saved. Volume 2 focuses on the words of Ego Eimi (I am) in the Gospel of John, the Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew, and the parables of the Kingdom of God in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke.

The unique feature of this textbook is that, based on the author's extensive experience, it presents the Bible in simple sentences, yet transparent and easy to understand, so that everyone, from children and beginners to seasoned believers, can learn the Bible together.
Anyone who wants to know the Word of God will find themselves immersed in the joy of the Bible without even realizing it if they follow the steps outlined in this book.
'People of the Gospel 1,2' can be said to be the final version of the 'Children's Bible Study Materials', a curriculum that covers the entire three-year course.

Into the book
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
The shepherds ran straight to the village of Bethlehem and met baby Jesus.
The shepherds were thankful for everything they had heard and seen, and they praised God.
--- From "Jesus Born in Bethlehem in the First Week"

“My baptism fulfills the righteousness of God.” Jesus went into the Jordan River and was baptized by John.
When Jesus raised his body from the water, the heavens opened up brightly.
The Holy Spirit of God descended upon Jesus like a dove.
God's voice was heard from heaven.
“You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
--- From “Jesus Baptized in Three Weeks”

One day, Jesus prayed all night and then chose twelve disciples from among his many disciples to be apostles.
Their names were Peter, Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew (Nathanael), Thomas, Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon, Thaddaeus, and Judas Iscariot.
The disciples followed Jesus for about three years and learned about the kingdom of God.
Everyone except the traitor Judas Iscariot experienced the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.
After receiving the Holy Spirit at Pentecost and being transformed, they became the first leaders of the church.
He became an apostle of the gospel, spreading the life and words of Jesus.
--- From “Jesus Calling the Five Disciples”

Jesus taught about the kingdom of God through parables.
“The kingdom of God grows like a mustard seed and bears fruit.
Those who live with faith like grains of wheat will enter heaven.
“The kingdom of God is like a king preparing a wedding banquet and inviting guests. So put on the garments of faith and prepare oil.”
--- From “Jesus Teaches the Kingdom of God for 6 Weeks”

Jesus saw the unwavering faith and love of the paralytic and his friends.
“Your sins are forgiven.
“Get up, take your mat, and go home.” The paralytic who jumped up was astonished, along with his friends and those who were watching.
“Thank you, Jesus! Praise God!”
“What an amazing thing! I’ve never seen anything like it before.”
--- From "Jesus healed a sick man for eight weeks"

Jesus said:
“All things are possible to him who believes.” The father of the demon-possessed son prayed even more earnestly.
“I believe! Jesus, help my unbelief!” Jesus rebuked the demon and drove it out of his son.
And he said to his disciples:
“Children, you can’t do this without praying.”
--- From "Jesus Casting Out Demons in 10 Weeks"

After six hours, Jesus gave his last words and breathed his last.
“It is finished.” “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” A Roman soldier pierced Jesus’ side with a spear.
Blood and water flowed out.
The moment Jesus died, the curtain in the temple was torn in two.
A Roman centurion who was watching from the cross said,
“Truly this man was the Son of God.”
--- From “Jesus died on the cross for 19 weeks”

“No, you were born blind...
How is it that he is really that person?
When many people were curious, the blind man who had regained his sight spoke.
“A man named Jesus made some mud, put it on my eyes, and told me to go to Siloam and wash. I did so, and I was able to see.
“If he had not come from God, he could not have done this.”
The blind man who had regained his sight met Jesus again and confessed.
“Lord, I believe in you.”
--- From "24 Weeks of Bartimaeus and the Blind Man of Siloam"
