Into the book
In what order should the Gospels be read?
Among the four Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, it is best to read the Gospel of Mark first.
Because among the four gospels, the Gospel of Mark is the one that organizes Jesus' life in chronological and event-ordered manner with the least amount of frills.
--- p.19, from the Gospel of Mark

What aspect of Jesus did Matthew want to emphasize?
Let us first look at the structure of the Gospel of Matthew.
As shown in the table, the Gospel of Matthew is composed of six stories and five sermons cross-edited.
In short, the flow of the story covered in the Gospel of Mark, which is “Jesus’ birth - Galilee ministry - beginning of conflict - long-distance ministry - journey to Jerusalem - what happened in Jerusalem - death and resurrection,” was maintained, and a sermon containing Jesus’ teachings was inserted at each scene change.
Ultimately, we can say that the specialness of the Gospel of Matthew lies in these five sermons.
--- p.58, from the Gospel of Matthew

The Book of Acts has the following three characteristics:
First, since the Acts of the Apostles was written by Luke following the Gospel of Luke, the themes of the two books are closely connected.
It would be safe to think of the Gospel of Luke as the first part and the Acts of the Apostles as the second part.
As previously stated, the Gospel of Luke is a gospel focused on the “marginalized,” that is, the salvation of all people and the gospel for all people.
This theme continues in the Acts of the Apostles.
The kingdom of God revealed through Jesus the Messiah was spread to all peoples, starting from Jerusalem and ending in Rome, by the evangelists of the early church, including Paul.
--- p.119, from “Acts of the Apostles”

Additionally, Corinth was a city located just 64km west of Athens, the birthplace of Greek philosophy, and was a city that was deeply influenced by Greek philosophy and worldview.
It was so much so that at the time, if someone spoke with elegance and wisdom, they were said to be “speaking like a Corinthian.”
Corinth was a city with the Janus face of obscenity and philosophy.
But why did having a Greek worldview become a problem within the church?
Of course, the Greek worldview is not all bad.
The problem arises when those who accept the gospel accept a new worldview without abandoning their original worldview.
--- p.158, from 2 Corinthians

Here are the reasons why you should read James after Romans:
First, the Epistle of James was written around the same time as the Epistle of Romans, when Paul was actively engaged in missionary work.
Second, just as Paul himself argued in Romans that he was not an 'anti-lawmaker' but rather preached the 'faith that completes the law', Paul's gospel at the time was misunderstood as a 'gospel that you just have to believe in', which caused problems in the James community.
--- p.202, from the Epistle of James

One thing to keep in mind when reading the text of the plagues is that not every sequence necessarily brings disaster.
Even if you just look at the table above, when the fifth seal is opened, it shows a scene of martyrs crying out for revenge.
That is, the purpose of each person (or trumpet and bowl) is not just the disaster itself, but is like a scene used in a movie to show a certain flow.
In short, it is necessary to first clearly organize the content of the seven scenes and then look at the overall flow.

Publisher's Review
Pastor Kim Ye-hwan, author of “Bible 365,” has been working hard to teach the Bible to believers in the field for a long time.
In particular, the two books, “Traveling the Bible” and “Bible Spectrum,” which deal with the history of salvation in the Bible, are widely loved by Korean churches to the point that they are about to enter their sixth printing.

Unlike existing books that have covered the broad framework of biblical history or biblical theology, this book is particularly significant in that it painstakingly organizes the core of the 66 books of the Bible, one by one, as if it were embroidering them.
In particular, this book is a compilation of the research and study that the author, Pastor Kim Ye-hwan, conducted while reading the Bible chronologically with 700 students and 60,000 YouTube subscribers during the harsh COVID-19 period.
Therefore, I am confident that this book will be very helpful to all believers who wish to read the entire Bible or study it book by book.

This book has the following four characteristics:

First, Pastor Kim Ye-hwan's characteristically simple language and outstanding insight clearly organized the historical background, paragraph structure, and key themes of each book of the Bible.
Second, for believers who wish to read the Bible in chronological order, the books are organized by era.
Third, in addition to the book itself, you can read the entire book by following the reading schedule through a dedicated app and use the guide video for each book.
Fourth, numerous tables and figures have been included to facilitate a more three-dimensional and efficient understanding of the complex historical background and theology.

If you follow the guide in this book and read and study the Bible, you will have the amazing experience of grasping the core content of each scripture with surprising ease and speed, and falling into the deep grace of the Bible.
"Bible 365" is a book for those who are challenging themselves to read the entire Bible, those who want to study each book of the Bible in more detail, and all those who want to understand and know the Bible more deeply.
