"The Gospel-Centered Life" is a nine-lesson small group study designed to help students understand how the gospel shapes various aspects of their lives.
Developed by experienced pastors in church planting, this Bible study resource is designed to foster rich, transformative conversations for both mature believers and new and non-believers alike.
Each lesson features independent and clear biblical teachings, requiring no additional time outside of group activities.
Through this process, you may wish to experience the following changes:

· Recognize the need for continuous change and gain a deeper understanding of the gospel.
· You can grow by experiencing external changes that start from within.
· The gospel will lead us to love and serve others and challenge us to build genuine relationships.

▶ Core Concepts of the Textbook - The Extension of the Gospel
“If the influence of the cross does not increase day by day, but remains the same as at conversion,
“We are diminishing the gospel.”

· If you look at the top line of the chart, it says, ‘Growth in awareness of God’s holiness.’
The meaning of this upper line is that as the gospel works properly within us, our awareness of God's holy character continues to increase.
As we live, we come to a deeper and more complete realization of God's glorious perfection.

· If you look at the bottom line of the chart, it says, ‘Growth in awareness of my flesh and sinfulness.’
This shows that as the gospel works properly within us, our awareness of our sinfulness continues to increase.
We gradually come to realize how far our own character and actions diverge from our ideals.
You will come to realize that you are a much more serious sinner than you ever imagined.


· The further the top and bottom lines of the diagram extend, the larger the cross becomes in our lives.
With him our love for Jesus deepens and our understanding of His goodness becomes more complete.
This is the ideal look.

· But in reality, because of our sinful nature, we often drift away from the gospel, like a ship that has lost its rope.
If we are not anchored in the truth of the gospel, our love for Jesus and our experience of His goodness are diminished.
As a result, the cross is also diminished due to our ‘hypocrisy and actions.’


· To experience the profound change God promises in the gospel, we must firmly establish our righteousness and identity in Christ, not in ourselves.
The gospel's promise of 'passive righteousness' and 'adoption' must be the center of our thoughts and lives.
