A mother who prays with words
A mother who prays with words
Description
Book Introduction
The best prayer for my child is that God says,
We pray that the promises made will be fulfilled in the child's life.

“I am not a mother who controls her child’s life.
“I am a mother praying for my child.”

Any mother raising children would want her children to do well.
Parents want to do everything for their children and help them, but as their children grow, parents face limitations.
In the end, all we can hold onto is the tearful prayers offered with a sorrowful heart.

The author, who serves the Korean "Praying Mothers," has experienced God working through prayer.
As mothers prayed and stayed in their prayer places, God revealed to them who He was and answered their prayers in abundance, even more than they had prayed for.
Thanks to this, mothers who had only looked at their children and their problems have turned their gaze toward God, have become thankful even when there are no conditions for gratitude, and have learned to hold on to the promise and pray patiently rather than being swayed by circumstances and circumstances.

Into the book
We usually pray earnestly when we have a wish or plan, or when we face an emergency or difficult problem.
Especially when we reach the limit of what we can do and are forced to admit our incompetence, prayer becomes our last hope.
But as we overcome the crisis and find peace, we find ourselves praying less and less.
The ups and downs are severe because the focus of prayer is on the situation or emotion.
However, when we pray with words, we can pray consistently regardless of our circumstances or emotions because we focus on God.
--- p.22-23

True prayer is not only pouring out your heart, but also listening to God's voice.
In other words, prayer is revealing your heart to God and listening to what God tells you.
Let's look at prayer from the perspective of conversation.
--- p.29

Through prayer, we experience what God does and learn more about Him.
It is truly amazing what God does.
He uses our poverty, our failures, and even our suffering to accomplish His will.
God works beyond the limits of our reason.
--- p.54

There is a clear difference between prayer that focuses solely on problems and prayer that focuses solely on God.
How can we fix our gaze on God? Focusing on the Word is the same as fixing our gaze on God.
When we meditate deeply on God's Word and pray accordingly, we are freed from anxiety and find ourselves praying with powerful faith, not just empty prayers.

After you have suffered a little while, he will restore you, make you firm and strong, and firmly establish you. 1 Peter 5:10b

Please try praying with these words.
We can pray, “God, help us to have your perspective and see our present suffering as a temporary one, so that we can endure it well.”
You could also say, “May we overcome this day with anticipation, looking to God who perfects us, strengthens us, and solidifies our foundation through suffering.”
When you pray with words, you will feel more powerful and at peace than when you pray with your emotions.
--- p.76

But let's take a closer look at Jesus' words. He doesn't say "the whole congregation."
Even though he speaks of “one heart” prayer, he says, “two of you.”
Isn't it interesting?
He could have said that if “ten thousand” or “a thousand” or “a hundred” or “ten” of you all join together in prayer, the Father in heaven will grant it, but He simply says “two.”
What I'm saying is that numbers don't matter.
He emphasized that united prayer is when even just two people join together in prayer.
--- p.84

Praise is prayer.
What is the first thing we should do in prayer? Praise God.
So, let's start praising with words.
Let me give you an example.

Jesus spoke again to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8:12

Jesus said of himself, “The light of the world” and “The light of life.”
So how should we praise?
“Praise be to Jesus Christ, the light of the world.
amen!"
“We praise our Lord Jesus Christ, who came as light into a dark world.
amen!"
“We praise the Lord who has made it possible for us to no longer walk in darkness.
amen!"
“When we follow the Lord who is light, we praise God who gives us the light of life.
amen!"
--- p.119-120

Meditate on “Your lovingkindness is abundant to all who call on you” and confess any sins that come to mind.
- Forgive me, for I am still afraid to go forward and am caught in the snare of sin, even though you are a very merciful God.
amen!
- Please forgive me for my sins of not being able to enjoy Your generous love and share it with others.
amen!
- Forgive me for not making an active effort to resemble the good and generous nature of God.
amen!
--- p.166

Nagging never gets you anywhere.
What's the secret to not nagging? It's letting go of all rights, claims, and expectations, and looking silently to the Lord Jesus Christ, who bore the cross.
If you teach your children to be grateful not because they are better or more capable than other children, but because they exist, and not because they have too much, but because they lack something, that gratitude will flow into your family and have a powerful impact.
Love and prayers for family are expressed through a life of gratitude.
The value of faith is something truly precious and cannot be measured in price.
A faith that is filled with gratitude in all things, unshaken by circumstances or conditions, is the best legacy we can leave to our children.
--- p.190

3-step audit
▶ I will offer a prayer of thanks to God for answered prayer.
First, let me offer a prayer of thanks for Jin-ho.
1.
I appreciate Jin-ho deleting all the games from his phone to live differently than before.
amen!
2.
Yes, that's right.
Thank you for deleting all your cell phone games as Jin-ho decided to live differently.
amen!
--- p.201

It is a great miracle that a physical illness is healed.
But that's not the end.
The reason God gives us miracles is so that we can come to know who God is and be saved through those miracles.
When we love our children, believe that we will definitely bring them to Jesus, and pray without retreating together with prayer partners, I believe that God will hear our prayers and heal and save our children, as well as the next generation of this land and the next generation of North Korea.
--- p.218

May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in all your ways.
- Pour Your peace upon oo's life and all that he does, so that he may not worry at all.
amen!
- May the peace that the Lord has given us through oo's life this week flow to his neighbors.
amen!
Shall we do the second part?
The Lord be with you all.
- May oo know and believe in God, who never leaves him and is always with him.
amen!
- May you walk the path of faith boldly, relying on the Lord who is with you.
amen!
--- p.242

Next is a specific prayer for the teacher.
- God, please let Mr. Ooo be healthy and tireless so that he can always teach his students with a bright smile.
amen!
Now it's time to pray for the school.
- God, please make oo school a prestigious school that produces holy people of God who will change the world.
amen!
--- p.257

Publisher's Review

This book is helpful to parents who want to pray for their children but are at a loss as to how to do so.
In the first half, we talked about our general thoughts, attitudes, and methods of prayer, and in the second half, we explained in detail the characteristics of MIP prayer, such as prayer of the word, prayer in unison, and the four-step prayer method (praise, confession, thanksgiving, and intercession).
And I also included practical prayer tips in the hopes that it would be of practical help in praying.

Praise is an act of worship that acknowledges and confesses God by meditating on scriptures that describe Him.
Through praise, we come to realize what kind of God we pray to.
Confession is meditating on a Bible passage and confessing and abandoning the sins that come to mind as we follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Gratitude is an offering of thanks to God for answering our prayers.
Intercessory prayer is a prayer where two mothers gather together to pray for their children, teachers, schools, and Sunday schools.
And pray for the country and its ministries.
Intercessory prayer is conducted in the form of conversational prayer, and is comprised of prayers that turn the Bible verses into prayers, prayers that expand on Bible verses, and specific prayers.
When two or three people agree and pray in Jesus' name, they pray according to the promise that the Father will do it for them.
After talking about one child, we pray for the necessary prayer topics by topic and then move on to praying for the next child.

Many mothers have applied this prayer method to their lives and experienced answers and change.
The church has also cultivated many people of prayer through various methods of incorporating the MIP method. I hope you will experience the joy and power of prayer through the MIP four-step prayer method.
