The manuscript was discovered in a box in the attic of Pearl's home in Mount Shasta, California, in 1975, and Pearl asked Sunny and several other students to edit and publish it.
Editing the manuscript was essential to remove personal instructions given to individuals and teachings that had been passed down over a period of ten years.
Since the Masters spoke without pauses, without needing to breathe, punctuation also had to be added.
The editorial board also discussed whether to retain the original terminology, which was commonly used at the Saint Germain Foundation but which today sounds overly complicated.
For the most part, the original terminology has been retained, and this edition has revised some phrases to modern usage to make the book more accessible to modern readers.
Several of Perl's editing requests were ignored in favor of the editorial board's opinions, which Perl has since corrected.

In this revised edition, we have revised previous edits and removed repetitive sections and chapters, following the guidance of the masters.
Because this discourse was delivered to people in the 1940s, some sentences have been modified to conform to modern grammar and reflect the original intentions of the masters.
I pray that this revised edition will illuminate the paths of many.
