Into the book
Punchnello was a Wemmick with no talent.
He wanted to jump high, but he failed every time.
The other Wemmicks were putting dot stickers on Punchnello.
When Punchnello hesitated and couldn't say anything, the Wemmicks laughed and said, "Huh!" and put more dot stickers on him.

'Will Carpenter Eli meet me?' Punchinello wondered.
When Punchnello returned home, he watched for a long time as the Wemmicks stuck star and dot stickers on each other.
'This isn't right,' Punchinello muttered.
And I decided to meet Carpenter Eli.

All the Wemmicks thought, 'He who has much is a great Wemmick, and he who has little is a poor Wemmick.' When they saw a Wemmick carrying balls and boxes higher than he was, they would stop and say, "There goes a great Wemmick." But when they saw a Wemmick carrying only one ball or one box, they would say, "That's too bad, he's a poor Wemmick."
“What a pitiful Wemmick,” they muttered.

She wanted to be the best Wemmick. Then one day she had a new idea: "Just having the most isn't enough.
“I’ll climb the highest.” So the mayor’s wife climbed to the top of the stack of boxes and shouted, “Look at me, everyone!” Then all the boxes and people started to race to climb higher than the mayor’s wife.

“Look at those guys!” shouted Punchinello.
“Why would you paint your nose green?” Lucia asked curiously.

“Because other people do it,” said the carpenter.

“Everyone wants to look like everyone else.
Sometimes, high heels,
Yellow ears were trendy last year.
“Now everyone likes green noses.”
“What is the reason?”
“Because I think I’ll be happier if I’m like other people.
“I made the Wemmicks all different on purpose, but now I want them all to look the same.”

“Oh, Punchnello.
“It would be nice if you could color it too.”
I looked back and saw Twiggy standing there with a friendly smile.
Punchinello's ears turned red.
“I painted my nose too.
Everyone else is painting too.

“You look good in green,” Twiggy said, nudged Punchinello’s nose.

“Well, bye.” Twiggy waved as she passed by.
When Punchinello returned home, he looked at his face in the mirror.

“Your nose definitely looks pale.”
