Into the book
God gave Noah a mission.
“Build an ark.” Not a kitchen, not a mill, and certainly not a goblin, but an ark.
The ark is a huge ship.
Noah built an ark large enough to fit his wife, his three sons and their wives, and two of each animal, including the goblin.
--- 「Chapter 4.
From "Biya, Biya, Don't Come (Genesis 6-9)"

Just as the Egyptian soldiers had cornered the Israelites, God caused a strong wind to split the waters in two, forming a wall between them. God's people crossed the Red Sea on dry ground to the other side.
God answered their prayers, and Israel was finally free.
--- Chapter 14.
From "Freedom at Last! (Exodus 4-15)"

Naomi's life seemed hopeless.
But when God gives us sour lemons, he may be preparing sweet lemonade.
God had a plan to solve Naomi and Ruth's dire situation, and the starting point was Boaz.
--- 「Chapter 24.
From "The Woman Who Refused to Leave (Ruth 1-4)"

“You spare the plant you did not plant, but you have not spared that great city of Nineveh!” Jonah still did not know what kind of God God really was.
Don't we sometimes forget that if God did not show grace even to His enemies, we would not have received grace either?
--- "Chapter 50.
From "Big Fish, Greater Mercy (Jonah 1-4)"

They didn't need to visit King Herod.
Because we have found a better king called Jesus.
How different are these two kings! A deadly king living in a magnificent palace, and the King of kings lying in a shabby stable.
A king who lives to kill and a king who was born to die.
The better news is that we don't have to go out and find King Jesus.
He has already come to us.
--- Chapter 54.
From “The Pilgrimage of the Magi (Matthew 2)”

The Eucharist is the time when Jesus is with us.
We commune with Jesus by eating the bread of the Eucharist and drinking the cup of the Eucharist.
We are connected to one another and to the One who died for us.
In this way, the bread and wine of the Eucharist are food that grows our faith and a meal that gives us strength.
--- "Chapter 80.
From “The Last Supper, the Eternal Lord’s Supper (Matthew 26)”

Publisher's Review
Captivating the eyes and imagination of the whole family,
104 Bible Stories from Genesis to Revelation

The Bible is full of countless stories.
There are sad stories, scary stories, happy stories, and holy stories.
There are also historical records, theological explanations, laws, lists of names, land divisions, poems, prophecies, parables, letters, and songs.

But ultimately, the Bible is one story.
It's a true story, down to the smallest detail.
This one story is the greatest story, and it is the story of Jesus.
He is the subject.
He is the target.
He is good news.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God who saves us from our sins and the serpent hunter who brings us back to the Garden of Eden.
When you pay attention to the Bible, you look to Christ.

I hope and pray that through "The Greatest Bible Story," people of all ages and genders will be drawn into the vast and overwhelming story of the Bible.
I imagine many people reading this book out loud.
Sitting around the dinner table with my family, with my children before bed, with the youth in my Sunday school class.
We encourage you to ask each other good questions, talk about the pictures, and discuss not only the "what" but also the "why," "how," and "who" in the story.

Did you know that the best children's movies are also loved by adults? The best children's books are also enjoyed by parents.
This is no coincidence.
The best stories, told in a way that suits children's vocabulary and level, will capture the hearts of adults as well.
Such stories teach both children and adults.
I hope this book does just that.
Some of you may discover new insights into stories you've heard all your life.
If you are new to Christianity, I hope this book will serve as a good starting point for learning about the Bible and what it means to believe in and follow Jesus.
