Epilogue

There are probably many people who have studied doctrines while attending Sunday school or a catechism class, but have not had the opportunity to study them further since.
However, continued interest in and study of the doctrines of faith is essential for all believers.
Why? Because faith and knowledge of God are interrelated.


That is, the deeper your knowledge of God, the deeper your faith in Him, and the deeper your faith in God, the deeper your knowledge of Him.
Therefore, studying the doctrines of the church is not simply a matter of accumulating knowledge; it is a great way to deepen our faith.
Of course, religious experience is also important.
But just as important as that experience is the knowledge of God.
As the saying goes, the more you know, the more you see, and the more you know God, the deeper your faith in Him will naturally become.


The word 'doctrine' is 'Catechismus' in Latin, and its etymology means 'to echo'.
If so, then doctrine is 'the message that Jesus of Nazareth delivered to this world', that is, 'the work of echoing the gospel'.
Doctrine is to echo the message of salvation that Jesus gave us throughout the world, to proclaim it so that people can hear it.
