Information and communication technology, along with wireless communication, is a core communication technology that plays a role in economic and social development as the central nervous system of a nation.

Information and communication technology provides various information and communication services using information and communication facilities, and requires an understanding of information and communication facilities and the skills to install, operate, and manage information and communication-related facilities based on this understanding.
With the rapid development of information and communication, many fields, including network-related companies, construction companies, engineering firms, small and medium-sized enterprises, and public institutions, require people with knowledge and experience in information and communication facilities, and the demand for information and communication engineer certification is rapidly increasing.

The author has written a textbook for the Information and Communications Engineer exam based on his extensive practical and teaching experience for many people seeking to obtain the Information and Communications Engineer certification. In particular, the revised exam criteria based on the NCS will be applied starting in 2022, so the contents of the textbook have been completely revised and supplemented based on these criteria.
For each subject, the necessary theories are summarized by reflecting the main, sub-, and detailed items of NCS, and detailed explanations are provided for expected questions to help in obtaining the certificate.

The features of this book can be summarized as follows:
