Publisher's Review
preface
This book is a summary of the previously published basic book, 『Personnel Management and Employment Relations』 (10th edition), compressed to half the length.
So, I added SE, which is an abbreviation for Silm Edition (also Special Edition), to the title.
In the textbook, we removed content such as supplementary explanations for logical connections between sentences, introductions of examples, and supplementary explanations of historical background and implications, and refined sentences to make them more comfortable, highlighting key keywords that must be mastered.
I wanted to provide only the essential content for undergraduate and MBA level human resource management students and those preparing for the second round of the Certified Labor Attorney/Management Consultant exams. I'm curious to see how well this writing intention was realized.
I hope this will be of some help to you, the readers.
As you might expect, this book is designed for 'organization purposes' due to its summary nature.
It is not a basic book intended for a rich understanding.
Therefore, for those who wish to read and understand the book on their own or access various contents covered in lectures, those who wish to get specific help in studying the subjects of "Human Resource Management" and "Labor-Management Relations (Employment Relations)" offered in business administration departments of universities and graduate schools, and entry-level personnel in human resources departments, we recommend utilizing "Personnel Management and Employment Relations," which can be considered the original text of this book.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to President Kim Hee-chul and the department heads Kim Byeong-hun, Bae Jeong-yeong, and Seong Jin-woo of Sanggyeongsa for their unwavering support in the process of publishing a new concept book that I had been contemplating for a long time.
I dedicate this book to the readers who have always loved my lectures, which are often imperfect, and who have struggled to understand thick and difficult textbooks.
I sincerely hope that you achieve your goals.
