Publisher's Review
preface

[Introducing the book]

This book is a summary that clearly organizes the core theories and past exam questions for students preparing for the general management (human resources and organizational theory) field, excluding the financial management field, in the "Business Administration" subject administered in the first period of the first CPA exam.
The entire book is organized into eight chapters, and each chapter consists of a summary of the content by topic and past exam questions.
The Certified Public Accountant Examination system has been completely reorganized and implemented starting in 2025, and 8 questions (20 points) will be included in the first period of the general management course, "Business Administration."
Although it is by no means an important subject, general management is the first subject that most test takers solve in the exam room, and it has a psychological impact on the subsequent exam process. It also accounts for 6-7% of the cutoff score for passing, so I don't think it is an insignificant weight to be ignored.
Considering the output versus input, general management is a subject with a high cost-effectiveness. Therefore, the book is organized as follows to help you achieve high scores in this subject.

[Features and Usage]

- Each chapter of the text follows the general content arrangement of representative domestic and foreign management textbooks, and systematically organizes the theories in the field of human resources and organization covered in all published past exam questions since 2000.
This year's 11th edition additionally reflects the latest past exam questions and related theories (e.g., PO fit, core self-assessment, decision-making errors, intercultural training, etc.) from all national exams administered since the publication of the 10th edition (March 2024 - February 2025).

- In the middle of the content explanation, related past exam questions are included along with the year of the exam and the source.
The sentences that were tested as correct (blue) and incorrect (black) are distinguished, and in the case of incorrect sentences, an explanation of why they are incorrect is provided in a footnote.
Since the previous exam questions are arranged according to similarity in content, it will be of great help in the final study process with the previous exam questions.
- For those who are studying in parallel with the lectures, please first review the content I emphasize in the workbook during class, and then, while reviewing, compare and contrast the relevant parts with the problem book (past exam records) and organize them.
- In the process of solving problems, you can study by organizing the sentences or keywords that are key to solving each problem by comparing them to which part of the book they are located.

[Words of Thanks]

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to President Kim Hee-cheol, and department heads Kim Byeong-hun, Bae Jeong-yeong, and Seong Jin-woo of Sangkyungsa, who provided invaluable assistance in transforming a difficult manuscript with numerous editing elements into a wonderful book.
I would also like to take this opportunity to bow my head in gratitude to the many students and certified public accountants who studied with this book and took my lectures, for thanks to their love and interest, I and this book have been able to grow.
I sincerely hope that prospective CPAs preparing for the 2026 exam will take a step forward toward their dreams through this book.
