Understanding Long-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy
![]() |
Description
Book Introduction
An introductory book to psychodynamic therapy, encompassing the latest advances in brain science and psychotherapy.
Psychotherapy illuminates the patient's life through language and repeatedly stimulates the patient's brain cells through a nonverbal relationship with the therapist, thereby causing changes in brain cells and neural circuits.
This proved that the treatment was effective by changing the patient's feelings, thoughts, and behaviors.
That is, it brings about changes in the explicit memory system through language and changes in the corrective experience through nonverbal therapeutic relationships, thereby bringing about changes in procedural memory and emotional memory among implicit memories.
Although dynamic therapy can be applied in group therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, and child and adolescent therapy, the author wrote this book with a focus on individual adult therapy.
