Publisher's Review
Corrugated cardboard and cardboard boxes are used as part of a complete packaging system, including unit packaging, internal packaging, external packaging, and logistics packaging.
Corrugated cardboard packaging is a representative packaging material that satisfies the unit function, protection, safety, convenience, economy, and environmental friendliness required for the role or function of packaging, and has secured an overwhelming position and market share among general packaging materials.
In today's world, with the extremely rapid development and advancement of industrial technology and the changing social environment, it is necessary to solidify the scientific foundation for the fundamentals and applications of corrugated cardboard and corrugated box manufacturing technology to promote progressive and new developments in corrugated cardboard packaging technology and product development.
From this perspective, we have comprehensively organized related technologies to support the rational use and technological advancement of corrugated cardboard packaging, in response to changes and developments in the times and society.
It covers the types and characteristics of corrugated cardboard and corrugated boxes, the history of technological development, manufacturing technology and machinery, bonding and adhesives, printing techniques, quality characteristics and testing methods, compressive strength and strength design, dimensional and structural design, box formats, quality and specifications, functional uses, manufacturing and characteristics of the base paper used, and even the scientific theory and explanation of corrugated cardboard as an engineering structure.
Since the beginning of my career, I have been working in the paper and cardboard packaging industry. Therefore, I am grateful for this experience and have compiled this book, drawing on my university lectures and foreign literature.
This book has been revised and supplemented since its first edition was published in 2007, but has now been reorganized and published as a revised edition.
