Somewhere in the distant universe, there is a planet called Melon, inhabited by melon-shaped aliens.
The official name of these aliens is 'Melon Monsters'.
One day, the melon monster Lulu disappears from Melon Planet.
I am sure that Tongtong, who is Leuru's best friend, has left for the blue star that Leuru observes every day.
So, Tongtong also decides to follow Leur and go on an adventure to the blue star.
To the planet Earth, where life forms with constantly moving eyes, noses, and mouths live! Tongtong wanders around the unfamiliar Earth, searching for Leur, and stumbles and ends up in dangerous situations.
But Tongtong is not discouraged and does not give up.


Cheerful and energetic Tongtong shakes off his mistakes and failures and sets out to find his friends again.
In the process, you learn about the Earth and become closer to Earthlings.
In particular, he meets and develops friendships with children from other Earths.
The process by which the alien TongTong adapts to the unfamiliar Earth is not much different from that of children on Earth growing up while experiencing a new world.

Tongtong travels around the world, storing information about the Earth.
The little creatures of Earth are so crazy, laughing, dancing, and twirling their shoe bags.
Tongtong, who went to the playground, happens to play soccer with some kids and falls in love with watermelon ice cream after eating it.
Then, they discover a suspicious child suspected to be Le Le.
The child wearing the yellow hat is unable to cross the street because he gets lost while the signal changes several times.
Just by looking at passing cars, he spouts off information that would normally be difficult to find out.
Everything about him, from his habit of getting lost in the road, to his personality of delving into details once he gets into something, to the hat he wears to hide the top of his head, is suspicious.
In the process of finding out if Yellow Hat is Leur, Tongtong hears Yellow Hat's true story.
Yellow Hat had been sick since childhood and had been hospitalized, and was captivated by the sight of cars whizzing by outside the window.
Pointing to the scar on his head, Yellow Hat asks if he is pitiful or scared.
But to Tongtong, the scars are just a cool pattern, not unlike the mesh pattern of the melon monsters.
On the other hand, through the yellow hat that helps others' work as if it were its own, Tongtong guesses the reason why Lurga came to Earth.
Perhaps Leur wanted to see up close the strange power possessed by Earthlings: the "heart." The children of Earth who met Tongtong gained self-affirmation and moved toward a world where people could overcome prejudice and embrace one another.
