Into the book
Jim looked down at his body.
The bulging belly fat was not visible.
The feet were originally not visible because they were covered by the belly fat.
“What, am I invisible now?”
I slapped myself in the face, feeling somewhere between bewilderment and absurdity.

It was not only noisy, but also painful.
But it wasn't visible.
Chubby cheeks, chubby fingers.
There was just water dripping down my feet.
My body trembled.
I poured water over myself and felt cold even though it was summer.
Jim recalled the situation just before.
I thought they came secretly, but it turned out that they were a bunch of bullies who had come to hunt rabbits.
I hid in the bathroom and got drenched in water.
Jim grabbed his hair with both hands.
Still no hands or head were visible.
Oh my gosh, an invisible man.
My heart was beating so fast it felt like it was going to jump out.
Where did it go wrong?
I turned back time in my head again and again.
At the end of it all, there was mala tang.

“As expected, Lira is full of confidence.
It's so cool.
“I want to do that too.”
Lira felt embarrassed every time she heard such words.
I can't go to school because I'm afraid of what other people think, I quit being a trainee, I ran away to a karaoke room, I'm just doing this because I'm afraid to say anything...
I wanted to say all this, but I couldn't express it.
So I just said this.
“You are cool.
“My friend, Min Yun-hye.”
I'm your friend.
Yunhye was very happy with Lira's words, especially when she heard that she was her friend.
But there was no way he could be cool.
Yunhye was fake.
A fake who goes by the nickname Mindra-mi and struggles to avoid being bullied at all costs.

I thought that if I worked hard, I could get a job at a public corporation like Korea Electric Power Corporation or a large corporation like Samsung Electronics and stand tall, but I was wrong.
Looking at my seniors, they were all working two or three shifts at small and medium-sized businesses in the countryside, suffering, or working at places unrelated to their majors like call centers for minimum wage.
The future is so clear, why stay in school?
I thought it would be better to leave school a day early and think about making money.
I grabbed the day and poured out my prepared speech in front of my mom and dad.
“Even if you graduate from a specialized high school, it is difficult to get a job at a public or large corporation.
And even if you're lucky enough to get a job, it's not much of a deal.
At school, they hang banners boasting about their seniors who've successfully landed jobs at public or large corporations. But didn't you see the news a few days ago? They say those seniors are being discriminated against in terms of salary and promotions compared to college graduates.
“If I’m going to be treated like that, I think I’d better drop out quickly.”
My mother turned away from me with her mouth closed, as if she was frustrated.
My father frowned and asked me.
"So! What are you going to do if you drop out? Do you have a plan? If you drop out without a plan, you'll have neither food nor shelter, you punk! The world isn't that easy!"
I lied with all my might and earnestness.
“I’m going to college.”

“You were like that to me.”
A burdensome Jim who is lynched by bullies and treated as an invisible man by ordinary kids. Jim has a crush on a girl.
A class president who is kind to everyone.
Jim sees Ina coming out of a new mala-tang-hulu restaurant and buys some mala-tang to eat, but the next day, while running away from bullies due to diarrhea, he suddenly turns into a real invisible man.
It was when he was faced with a desperate and painful moment where he felt like he was on the verge of death that his ability was revealed.
And it turns out Ina, too, is a power user! How did she acquire her powers? And will Jim's unrequited love ever come true?
“I think I survived.”
Ina said, looking down.
I saw apartments, commercial buildings, cars, and people walking between them.
How many people live in hiding?
How many salvations are raising themselves up?

"Again? What are you studying at a karaoke bar?"
Yun-hye, who succeeded in dieting, becomes known as a child who resembles an idol and makes many friends.
I go to school pretending to be cool, but I'm always anxious that the bullying might start again.
Yun-hye is afraid that she will be ostracized if she doesn't sing well, so she goes to a karaoke room to practice alone, where she meets Lira.
Lira is a girl who quit being an idol and refuses to go to school, going to karaoke every day.
The two develop a friendship as they sing and study together.
One day, Yun-hye's friend, who hates Lira, sees the two together.
Yun-hye, not wanting to be hated, lies that she is being threatened by Lira...
I was very scared when I was teased by children.
Because I was so worried that I might get bullied again, I couldn't even leave the house.
But Lira's declaration that she would never meet Yunhye again was nothing compared to that.
It was much more heartbreaking.
It was truly shocking.
But Yun-hye couldn't catch Lira.

“Why do you want to make money?”
Minjun, who was attending a specialized high school, drops out as soon as he learns that it is difficult to get a job at a public or large corporation.
He tried to convince his parents that he would go to college, but after solving a past college entrance exam question once, he immediately gave up and started thinking about making money.
The business item that Minjun found was tteokbokki.
The special tteokbokki of 'Chinchin Bunsik' is so popular that there are long waiting lists and it often closes early because it sells out.
Minjun thinks that if it's Chinchin Bunsik's tteokbokki, it will definitely be a success and he will be able to make money, so he asks the owner of Chinchin Bunsik for the recipe.
Minjun is asked an unexpected question by the owner of a snack shop with an unusual background, and he starts to wonder what he really wants to do...
The result was tteokbokki that looked somewhat watery.
It had a completely different, bland taste from the tteokbokki I made at Chinchin Bunsik, but it was even better than the one I made just before.
It was the most delicious tteokbokki I've ever made, and it was a taste I've never had anywhere else.
