Korean Archaeology Lecture
Description
Book Introduction
These days, the media reports news of new excavations and discoveries of new materials almost every day, almost like one every night.
Korean archaeology is experiencing explosive growth, fueled by the emergence of such new materials and the increasing number of new researchers, and any slack could easily lead to a lag behind the academic community.
This book is a revised edition published three years after the Korean Archaeological Society published 『Lectures on Korean Archaeology』, and contains the latest data and research results obtained from the spatial scope of Korean archaeology encompassing the Korean Peninsula and Northeast China.
It is divided into sections and introduced according to the era, such as the Paleolithic Age, Neolithic Age, Bronze Age, Early Iron Age, Proto-Three Kingdoms Period, Three Kingdoms Period, Unified Silla, and Balhae. It also allows for an examination of the current state of Korean medieval archaeology corresponding to the Goryeo and Joseon Dynasties.
Readers interested in archaeology will gain a deeper understanding of the current state and issues of Korean archaeology through this book, and gain a more objective understanding of the cultural content that has developed in this land.
