“I guess the book is coming to an end now.
I became a 'World Natural Heritage Guide' in 2022, and my first job in September of that year was at 'Seongsan Ilchulbong'.
Seongsan is a 'land of island light' where you can see the sun and moon during a one-night, two-day trip.
Until now, Jeju Island has been a place where people come to Seongsan, park their cars in the parking lot, climb Seongsan, and just skim the surface of the area by staying there for about an hour.
Seongsan is not an island for tourism, but rather an island that requires a one-night, two-day trip.
Only by encountering the myths and tales of Seongsan and its painful history and culture can one see its deep beauty.
In addition, the paradigm of Jeju tourism must change.
With that in mind, I wrote the article, “This is Seongsan.”
When the book is published, I plan to introduce it to the governor, superintendent of education, Jeju Provincial Council Culture and Tourism Committee Chairman, Seongsan-eup Provincial Council Member, World Natural Heritage Headquarters Director, Seongsan-eup Mayor, and Seongsan-ri Village Chief.

Jeju's economy will only thrive if Jeju's tourism industry develops.
