Book Introduction
It's okay to stop in Provence
A photo essay of 30 villages in southern France, each season
“I was a photographer who mainly took pictures of barren lands and harsh landscapes.
But one day, everything changed in a small village in Provence that he happened to visit.
The moments I encountered there awakened the faded emotions that had been dormant deep in my heart.
“The time in Provence came to me like a poem, and I soon fell deeply in love with Provence in its warm and quiet beauty.”
Kim Beom, the chairman of the Feynman Academy Education Group and a photographer who travels through barren lands, has returned after capturing the four seasons of Provence on camera.
He confesses that he once fell into the abyss of depression in the fiercely competitive world of life where it was not easy to stop, but that he found unexpected solace and regained his passion while visiting Provence in southern France during his travels.
This book, "It's Okay to Stop in Provence," is filled with the stone walls and alleyways of the 30 or so small towns he traveled through in Provence, traditional markets and old cathedrals, and the light and color of Provence, which has inspired countless artists.
From literature, art, music, fashion, and perfume, the stories and attractions surrounding each village provide readers with a moving and thoughtful encounter with the souls of the artists.
In particular, inspired by the purple plains of Provence, Valensole, they are planning to open a cafe and art gallery on the banks of the Bukhan River that fully captures the sensibility of Southern France, so visiting it along with this book will be another pleasure.
