In search of an old Korean restaurant
Description
Book Introduction
"In Search of Old Korean Restaurants" is a story about a warm meal filled with Korean affection.
This book is about local restaurants that we can eat comfortably anytime and anywhere, not the kind of restaurants that are too neat and tidy to be eaten with a fork and knife, but long-established local restaurants and easily accessible restaurants in Seoul.
However, the story was enriched with text that included the origins of local dishes and the history of the restaurant, making the food on the table even more delicious.

Publisher's Review
Nopo (老鋪) is a Chinese character meaning ‘old store.’
Usually, when we say 'old', we mean outdated or worn-out, but when you visit a traditional Korean restaurant that has been in business for decades, the sincerity in the food, the hospitality, and the clean and tidy space make you feel like you've met a 'gracefully cool old man.'
It may be a coincidence, but the old stores the author encountered were places with distinct values that had matured and evolved over time, not just through the layers of time that had piled up over a long period of time.
So, the author wanted to include in the book the stories contained in the meals we eat three meals a day, which we might otherwise overlook.
Through this book, I hope that the story of an old restaurant that has quietly prepared ingredients and kept the fire burning for decades will be brought to the family's table and enjoyed.
