[China Travelogue 2: Guilin, Xi'an, Huashan, Huangshan, Hangzhou] Where Immortals Live
Description
Book Introduction
I've been to China, but I still don't know China.
Whenever I get the chance, I must visit Mount Taihang, Jiuzhaigou, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
I should go all over China and write about it, but I can't, so I'll just write about the places I've been to here.
I hope this will be of some help to readers traveling to China.

Publisher's Review
Last time, in 『China Travelogue 1: Don't Be Afraid of Its Greatness』, I introduced Beijing and the Great Wall, as well as Zhangjiajie, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Zhujiajiao. In this 『China Travelogue 2: Where the Immortals Lived』, I will introduce Guilin, Yangshuo, If and Xi'an, the Terracotta Army, Huashan, and Huangshan, Huizhou, etc.
In January 2013, four people, including my brother-in-law, Maam, my sister-in-law, and my wife, visited Gyerim.
When I saw Ha Long Bay in Vietnam in 2003, I remember being so captivated by the scenery of islands that looked like rocks gathered on the sea that I didn't even get drunk. Guilin is literally Ha Long Bay on land, and its scenery is just as spectacular.
What a sight! Moreover, I had such a kindred spirit, and among the group I made another friend who lives in Daecheon, making the trip worth remembering.
If traveling is about enjoying the scenery, getting a glimpse into the local customs and lifestyle, and gaining enlightenment and learning, another virtue of traveling is that it provides an opportunity to enjoy these things and make new friends.
Then, in April of this year, there was a travel package from Busan to Xi'an, China, so my wife and I went to meet Qin Shi Huang.
I remembered the traces of Emperor Xuanzong and Yang Guifei of the ancient Tang Dynasty in Xi'an, and visited the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, the Terracotta Army, and Mount Huashan.
The Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor was just a mountain, but the Terracotta Army was magnificent, and Mount Huashan was also a truly beautiful rock mountain.
However, I could not visit the pyramids of the Dongyi people, which are located west of Xi'an, China, as they were kept quiet for fear of being discovered by the Chinese authorities, as it was a package tour.
Meanwhile, Hwangsan was scheduled to go in June, but he suddenly suffered from a stroke and canceled the trip, but ended up going at the end of August.
Huangshan, literally known as the most famous mountain in China, was a mountain among mountains.
In particular, the sulfuric acid shrouded in mist was truly a sight to behold.
However, Hwangsan Mountain is a very difficult course for the elderly as the valley is very deep and steep, but it is worth the effort.
It was also a new experience to visit the old villages of the Qing Dynasty, such as Dangwolpaebanggun and Jeonggamchon.
Meanwhile, on the last day, I went to Hangzhou. Since I had already been there in 『China Travelogue 1: Don't Be Intimidated by Its Bigness』, I was a bit indifferent, but this time, I went to a place I hadn't been to before, so it was worth it.
Although I had been to Hangzhou's Songcheng and West Lake Cruise five years ago, they had changed so much in the intervening years that they presented a completely new side to me.
Even though I've been to China like this, I still don't know China.
Whenever I get the chance, I must visit Mount Taihang, Jiuzhaigou, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
I should go all over China and write about it, but I can't, so I'll just write about the places I've been to here.
I hope this will be of some help to readers traveling to China.
