World Map of Conflict
Description
Book Introduction
A comprehensive guide to conflict, fully equipped with over 90 precise maps and up-to-date information!
A book that will serve as a stepping stone to understanding global conflicts and becoming a global citizen!

"World Map of Conflict" is a book that comprehensively organizes the background, causes, and development of conflicts and disputes that have occurred around the world from a geographical and geopolitical perspective.
The author is an expert who has been lecturing on conflict-related topics for a full 23 years since 1997.
Furthermore, as a scholar, I have a sense of duty to play a certain role in fostering global citizens who understand other countries and respect different cultures in a global society, and have published several books on conflict since 1997.
This book is the fourth conflict textbook published by the main author.

This book contains over 90 detailed maps.
To help readers better understand the nature and flow of conflict and disputes, a basic map of each country was placed at the front of each section, followed by an overview of the country's ethnic and religious distribution, natural environment, etc.
Complex topics that are difficult to understand in words alone, such as 'Autonomous regions demarcated by the Oslo Accords II (1995)' and 'Seven solutions to the Kashmir issue', are presented in elaborate maps to help readers understand.
Moreover, before dealing with conflicts on each continent, “Chapter 1: Conflicts and Conflict Zones in the World” explains basic concepts such as race and ethnicity, and lays the foundation for understanding conflicts such as the relationship between ethnicity and language, and the relationship between ethnicity and religion.

Publisher's Review
Even now, many things are happening in many places around the world.
As is typical of a globalized world, the news is delivered to us in real time.
You may remember the domestic stock market turmoil caused by the US-China trade war and the exchange rate fluctuations caused by Brexit.
As such, in this globalized world where each country is closely connected, events in distant countries inevitably have a large or small impact on our daily lives.
That's why we need to pay attention to what's happening in the world.
This is another reason why you should read this book.

But understanding the global conflicts and conflict zones that make headlines isn't so simple.
This is because most disputes and conflicts arise from a complex intertwining of factors such as heterogeneity between ethnic, racial, and religious groups, historical legacies and scars, interests and conflicts between political forces, and geographical location and geopolitical relationships.
In particular, understanding conflicts, civil wars, and separatist movements that have arisen due to conflicts that have accumulated over a long period of time requires considerable effort.
For example, to understand why Catholics in Northern Ireland want to break away from Anglo-Saxonism, why Alawites in Syria do not want to hand over power to Sunnis, or why Ukrainians impeached their pro-Russian president while calling for de-Russia, we must examine the history created by the geography of those lands in a chronological order.
For this reason, the author has covered in detail the historical context of conflict and strife areas, along with geographical and geopolitical perspectives.

I hope this book will provide information on the world's conflicts and areas of conflict and serve as a useful guide in finding solutions.
It would also be even better if the passionate young people who read this book directly showed refugees who have lost their homes to conflict and strife and are struggling to survive in refugee camps around the world, that 'this is the responsibility of a global citizen, and this is how to do it.'
